Room was very clean, peaceful atmosphere, love the layout of the room I was in, employees very nice. For a hotel that was in renovation I was pleased at how well it looked. I would recommend this hotel.
It was quite what I expected given that I knew it was under renovation and that I needed basic accommodations. Don’t expect hot breakfast though. Swimming pool was not operational. There was a smell of marijuana on the 5th floor during my stay though
I booked this hotel mostly because good reputation but it was worst hotel experience. When we arrived hotel was under renovation. All amenities (gym, restaurants) were closed. They tried to charge us more at reception then what was booked online and on top of that we had two fire alarms in the morning. So it couldn’t go much worse
Solid option for a clean and safe stay during COVID. All the common areas are closed (so no free breakfast) which is to be expected with COVID and the renovations they are doing but the cheap prices on the rooms reflects that. The hotel was so deserted it was ghostly but the room was immaculately clean and checking in with the Hilton app and using a digital key to get in the room made for a very safe and comfortable stay. Only complaint is that some sites say the hotel has free wi-fi and that's not the case. This is the only hotel I've stayed at out the last 25+ that didn't have free wi-fi so that was a bit of a surprise but other than that I highly recommend, especially now.
My wife recently had surgery in Timonium, and we chose to stay at Embassy for 2 nights to buffer the trip from VA for the surgery. I specifically chose the Embassy through the Hilton website, after reading about the made to order breakfast. That seemed like a great idea, with Covid going on, and an easy way to have breakfast after the surgery. Boy was that a mistake. There was (and still isn't) any communication on the website about construction, or the fact that your "made to order" breakfast was going to come in a bag....a muffin, a fruit bar, a yogurt and a water. I don't really have an issue with them handling everything being closed (restaurants and breakfast) by bagging up some food. It's actually kind of creative. The issue is not warning you about it before you book. In addition to that, the construction workers were always using the elevators, so the waits were long. In fact, after we checked in and headed to the elevator, we waited over 5 minutes and watched both elevators stay on the top floor and not move. I finally went back to the front desk and asked what was going on. The manager came to the elevators with us, called someone on her walkie-talkie, and then one of the elevators came down, and a worker got off. I understand construction has to take place, but it sure needs to be handled better. Inform customers of it before they book, and manage it a little better for the benefit of your guests. After all, they're the reason you can afford to do construction in the first place. And charging full price while this is going on, is just wrong. I would have a whole different perspective if I had paid half price, knowing what I was getting, versus paying top dollar and getting surprised. Finally, I would like to say my issues are with Hilton/Embassy, not the employees. Every employee we interacted with was appropriately masked, and helpful. That, I did appreciate.
This was awful experience!! When they said renovating, they didn't say to the extent. When walking in it was like a war zone!!! Not one thing is open, the vending machines were empty. The elevators were filthy and had chips on the floor for the 3 days we were there. Did I mention we had to switch rooms because of the POT smell that was coming into our room. The common area garbage cans were full and during covid you would think extra care would be taken. I mentioned this to the front desk and all I got was, we are short staffed. Stay somewhere else. We are Hilton members and this was not a good representation!!!
The Hotel is under going extensive renovations and most of the usual amenities were not available during my stay. But, to offset that Becca sales manager at front desk did everything in her power to make my stay pleasant and she succeeded . True the lobby and atrium area were not finished but my room was newly and completely redecorated. Noise was not a issue and I had a couple of special requests which Becca gladly accommodated . If I am back in the area in the future this hotel will be my choice.
My company booked the reservation. Should have been a no brainer. If you call the number it talks about made to order breakfast. If you look at the Hilton app it shows Amenities include free breakfast and evening reception. But there is a warning about construction posted - I guess I should have researched. If you expect any of the normal Embassy Suites perks you will be very disappointed.
Not real impressed with this place! Renovating the atrium, room a/c not working (I have outside Juliet door open), reading lights on my headboard do not work, can’t change your mind in the small bathroom, and the automatic alarm clock next to the bed has the wrong time. I stay in hotels over 300 days a year in lower to mid level hotels but must say that this is no more than 2-star hotel at the most!
I absolutely like the food and service, excellent area right next to my home. The employees are always welcoming. Will come visit again.
