I've been going here with my family for more than 10 years. Out of all the restaurants in the Hunt valley cockeysville area, Ashland Cafe hands down has the best breakfast as well as a good sports and entertainment viewing area in their main restaurant. I've never sat outside but I noticed their outdoor seating is comfortable and well spread out. Occasionally they have live music as well as trivia and other things to entertain. All the traditional food is good but I go for breakfast all the time and that is where it really stands out with variety and quality and I have hardly ever had to wait more than 10 minutes for food.
I find it hard to believe that you can't order just a sandwich at Ashland Café anymore. You are forced to get a side of fries or Cole slaw with it(even if you decline the side, they still charge you for it) The owner told me "there is not a NO FRIES button" There has never been a NO FRIES button!!! the owner would kindly take a $1.50 off the price if you were just getting a sandwich.I bought many sandwiches that way over the years. A Corn Beef sandwich is now $11.65 at Ashland Café.
The Chicken dinner chicken is cooked ahead and kept heated. When cooking ahead food even chicken should be taken out of the oven around 155. Food continues to cook when held at a lower temperature ie smoked food. That said the stuffing was delicious almost making up for the dry chicken I don't like dry food. And like Emeril says there hasn't been a case of trikenoses in 40 years .
Went to Ashland Cafe last Saturday night... The food was great the band was great but our waitress was exceptional...Becca went above and beyond with her service.... She needs a raise... Well definitely be back!!!
Cleared my own table tonight, had get myself drinks from the bar . Sadly understaffed. Not coming back anytime soon. Music was great
Great Cafe to grab breakfast. They were packed but the service was great and the food came out quick. I had always gotten takeout with coworkers but had never eaten there in person. Will definitely be back.

Great place, we sat outside and it was wonderful, Joyce was wonderful and the crab cake was amazing. The patio was very clean and pleasant. Great atmosphere and food. We really enjoyed this wonderful lunch.
My service was excellent. The quality & quantity of food was superb. My waitress was very attentive to my needs and the food was in front of me before I could even wash my hands. Great job Ashland Cafe!
