Just ate breakfast at Atwaters in Catonsville, MD…It was recommended as a wonderful place to eat breakfast and or lunch…I am 63 Years old and I can honestly say that my breakfast toast and potato’s were the worst I have ever been served. The only thing hot or warm was the coffee. The restaurant was not even busy…The bacon, potato’s and seven grain toast tasted like it was made Thursday afternoon and today is Friday 5/20/22 at 9:30am.Will not return to this establishment.
Great food, breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Great coffee. I'd eat here everyday if I could afford it. 8/10x my online order isn't ready when I get there at or after my pick-up time but they're busy.. hasn't stopped me from ordering.
Stopped in for a pop up dinner sponsored by Pure Wine of Ellicott City. The facility is very nice and the upstairs dining room was great.Dinner and cocktails were terrific and ample and the service was second to none.
As the old adage goes, fool me twice shame on me.... Tried Atwaters for the last time after a disappointing prior experience. On our previous visit our breakfast order took way too long, but they were busy and at least an apology was offered - so we gave them a pass. Well today's visit was even worse and will be our last. Despite it being slow on a Saturday morning (should of taken that as a sign), after a 40 minute wait for our breakfast order we simply walked out. Atwaters used to be the best in Catonsville, but unless you want to spend $40 for a couple cups of coffee, go somewhere else to eat breakfast/brunch.
We ordered 3 lbs of the chicken salad for a party we were having and it was delicious! Lots of compliments from friends and family. And it was way easier to just get it here, then to try to make it myself. We got 3 lbs for 12 people and we ate it all even though we had lots of other food. My husband thought it was a perfect amount but next time I would probably get an extra pound just to be safe because it is also great leftover.
I always enjoy every interaction I have with the staff here. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and genuine. The coffee tastes great and is consistent, no matter who is on bar. I love the bread, especially the seasonal options. And I love to pick up fresh produce from the fridge. This Atwater's location checks all the boxes! Keep up the great work!
Love the atmosphere, food and the friendly staff. Really like the gluten free bread.
The view was perfect out the big upstairs window. Nice family lunch here. The food tasted great. The whole restaurant smelled amazing. The mulled cider and petite pot pie made a satisfying warm lunch on a cold day.
This is a great place for coffee or breakfast. There is a good selection for both on the menu, and it is a nice atmosphere. The egg sandwich I had was very good. There is abundant seating upstairs, and free water available upstairs as well. The downside is that the stairs are fairly steep, and it is a bit tricky carrying a coffee mug upstairs. I would definitely return.Update: I did return and enjoyed the same thing! The breakfast platter also looked good.
Ordered breakfast today. Wasn't terribly busy. Customer service is always good here. I opted for the breakfast platter. Overall it was good. The bread was VERY toasted. It was 7 grain so that may have contributed to the effect. Also the eggs and potatoes were warm not hot. The eggs had the pourable egg feel, I am pretty sure they were not freshly cracked eggs. Would have been better. The potatoes could have been crisper but were still pretty good. They offered a coffee option with unlimited refills which I jumped on and was surprised by the massive mug I received. Was pretty good brew. My wife opted for the sandwich which she enjoyed.I would recommend checking it out if you are looking for a decent breakfast and nice ambiance. Quiet upstairs and tables were spread out nicely.
