My Grandson and I had a good time with our family! He ordered an apple juice and the black mussels boil. Our server, she was very friendly and knowledgeable and patience with us especially when it was time to order our dinners. Top shelf Long Island Ice Tea was everything ????
First time visiting the Crafty Crab, which was in Bowie, Maryland, August 13, 2022. I become really sick 30 minutes afterward eating there. I called and spoke with the Manager and explain the problem of my illness to her (vomiting, headache, stomach pain). I was taking aback when I was told: well no one ahead of you had any problems and we never had anyone called with a problem with the food. I could not believe I was hearing this from a Business Manager? First of all I told her, that is not good business practice to compare anyone person to another regarding an illness (from your restaurant food) or anything else. She went on to say well, there is nothing I can do. I told her to have a nice day! However, you know this is not the end! Please know that the Server Ms. Alexis12 was extraordinary, very caring, making sure we were comfortable and everything was okay. I will give the five stars to Alexis12. I will NEVER EVER visit this venue again! My total bill was $78.19, which I would have left for a tip for Alexis, she was that great. If I was a owner of a restaurant, I would find and hire her on the spot. To bad (SHE), the manager, does not how to treat humans. One apple spoils the WHOLE barrel! This manger need to go and take a seat. I only gave one star, just to be able to write my review. Thank you for allowing me to share my experience at Crafty Crab!
Nice Family Seafood dinner out. The Gumbo was mostly rice. However the seafood and sausage and corn was delicious. I don’t quite get the boiled egg that’s included in the bag?
Crafty Crab BowieAppetizers: cheese sticks and chicken wings. Food was great, catfish, shrimp, crab legs, all the food was nice and hot. Drinks was great and an excellent server. We will definitely go back.
Honestly, I don’t know what to say. Let’s start by saying that the food ? was delicious ?. The first time I visited this restaurant with my husband, the service was perfect. The lady was very attentive and helpful. She brought all the tools we need to enjoy our meal. She was checking on us every now and then.SECOND TIME THO:Since I enjoyed the first time, I decided to recommend the place to one of my friends who was craving something different. At first, this young man helping us, took our order quick.HOWEVER he said he didn’t have NONE of the tools we needed, not even the little trash can.THEN, he brought the wrong dish to my friend’s 5 year old.THEN, he never checked on us. We didn’t even have forks, napkins or anything.THEN, I asked him for another soda. He forgot and then he brought water instead. The place looked dirty and the tables fool of trash.I DONT KNOW WHAT WENT WRONG TODAY ☹️☹️☹️
Honestly, I don’t post reviews all too much but it was one of the best places for boils I’ve been to.I’m not understanding any of the negative reviews at all because our waitress came back often, was extremely nice, and communicative. Our food was always out extremely fast from when we placed the order (We had 2 Shrimp & Snow Crab boils and 2 orders of hush puppies)And honestly, if you want a decent place to eat your crab boil; that’s it right here.All you can mainly find in Maryland really is steamed seafood rather than a boil. Very few places have it, and so far this is the best one I’ve had. We’ll 100% be back.
SHUT THIS LOCATION DOWN!!! The bartenders are drunk, yelling and cussing as if they aren’t paid to be there. Kids were at the bar while everyone is drinking around them!! The service is the worst I’ve ever experienced in my life! The bathroom is trifling!! The food took an hour to come.. This establishment has very poor service. The waiter/bartender spent more time taking shots and talking on her cell phone then she did servicing guests. Be prepared to wait at least 30mins for a drink and an hour to eat. I also received the wrong order!! Better yet just don’t waste your time here!! This place is very Ghetto!!
My friend and I visited the location in District Heights,MD. I had real high hopes for the place - I wanted some great seafood plus it was my birthday. When we arrived, we were never greeted by the hostess. All she said was “it’s a 15 minute wait” we didn’t have a problem with that because we saw that a waitress cleaning off the tables. When the hostess sat us down, she said” it will be a bit of a wait to order because there’s two people ahead of you”…wait what? How come you didn’t tell us that prior to us sitting down? There was no offer for water or nothing. We saw the ONLY waiter delivering food and taking orders for another table and he was moving a bit slow. After about 15 mins or so of waiting, we got up and left. As we walked out, we saw the hostess leaning on the counter on her phone. We ended up going to T.G.I. Friday’s instead. We had no problem there. They were super busy and we were greeted and sat down in a matter of minutes.Crafty Crab, my advice to you is please instruct your staff to be better with customer service. The more attentive they are, the more customer retention you will have. I have a background in retail/customer service so I knew what to look for. I had such high hopes for this place and I doubt that I’ll return. Please do better or else you will continue to loose customers to national well known restaurants.
Honestly dont waste your time. I went there yesterday Feb 28 for the first time & the service was terrible. Although I enjoyed the food, we came at 8:45p & wanted to order drinks but they said the bar was closed…??? The restaurant didn’t close until 10 & even if it was slow why close the bar that could potentially up your tips. My friend went to the bar and they weren’t doing nothing but talking and not working. They could've easily just made the drinks & most restaurants when its slow closes dining first then bar. After that they said the kitchen was closed even though it was only 9:10. They need better management & better staff cause it was giving lazy.
Yeah I won't be back. Long wait for service. Long wait for drinks. Think our server left our food waiting. Mozzarella sticks were cold. Mussels were cold. Made us pay for the drinks. This place is a disaster. This thing won't let me give it 0 stars.
