This is extraordinarily good food with truly outstanding service. See https://johntannersbbqblog.wordpress.com/2022/07/19/woodmont-grill-bethesda-maryland/

Excellent per usual. Service always great.

I tried the Osaka Style - hand pressed sushi. it was great! the hot fudge sundae was very delicious. The service was excellent!

Woodmont Grill NEVER disappoints! It's been 3 years+ since I've eaten here and decided to go over the weekend. I ordered the Chesapeake Oysters and the Kale and Rotisserie Chicken Salad absolutely delicious. Kale, picked Rotisserie chicken, herbs and a Honey Lime Vinaigrette. Perfect for lunch, not too heavy however some of the chicken had skin on it. My companion had the Thai Beef Salad with Mango, very tasty. The bartenders, Mikaela and Dillion had outstanding customer service. I will definitely be back soon.

Best steak I’ve ever eaten in my life. I grew up in DC eating at the best steak houses. Blackie’s House of Beef, Duke Ziebert’s, Mel Krupin’s, the Palm, Morton’s, etc.The crust on the NY strip was charred to perfection with salt pepper and butter. The interior was very tender medium rare, marbled with zero gristle. That was the second time I ordered that mouth watering steak. Absolutely consistent both times. Consistency is the hallmark of exceptional restaurants. That takes incredible attention to detail from a relationship with their butcher to choosing the cuts, to training the chefs and waitstaff. Kudos.I started with a shrimp cocktail which was comprised of the largest jumbo shrimp I’ve ever seen. Like great steak, I’ve devoured shrimp cocktail since I was a kid.The mashed potatoes were luscious, drowned in cream and butter and salted exquisitely as was the broccolini. The waitstaff is very attentive without hovering over the table allowing us to have privacy while enjoying an incredible meal.I capped off the wonderful meal by proposing to my fiancé. I will never forget that night.

The bar here is the best part. I prefer the bar to the tables and tables are reservation only that must be booked ahead of time. Atmosphere is exclusive jazz club-like. Bartenders are excellent. Everything is obviously expensive - the roast beef sandwich is good as well as the grilled whole artichoke appetizer. Also they make rice-less sushi upon request.

Wife and I had dinner here before seeing a show at BB&J down the street. Thank God we had a reservation, because there was quite a wait to get in, but we were seated right away. For a drink and appetizer I had an Old Fashion and we had the junior shrimps. The shrimps were quite large and really good with the two dips that came along with them. For the entrée I had the ribs and fries. I almost ate all of the fries before tasting the ribs because they were that good. The ribs were fall off the bones good, great sauce and seasoning. My wife had the salmon and she really enjoy the tast and the accompanying sauce. The bill was a little pricey, but we really enjoyed our whole meals

My husband made a reservation for our anniversary, based on info on the website: "We prefer to host experiences based on smaller, more intimate parties of two, and limit parties larger than that. We consider hats, tank tops, flip flops, and team athletic attire too casual for our restaurant. Our restaurants are generally not the best environment for young children." Looking forward to a sophisticated, intimate, fairly quiet experience, we were quite disappointed to find there were kids, people dressed in tank tops/casual attire and the place was mobbed. It's a huge open space and tables are tight together so it's very noisy. Our waitress apologized for having to yell to be heard. It was an upscale, big TGIF's/PF Chang's. They knew it was an anniversary dinner and we were seated at a puny "booth" for two. We are small and we barely fit. Surrounded by loud tables quite close together; one with a loud wandering kid. It may be a great restaurant for the tourist and family crowd (big hotels all around it now), but the website needs to be honest about dress code, kids, "noise level", and the ambience of the experience. Not the place for an intimate, romantic anniversary dinner.

Extremely romantic atmosphere. Don't get me wrong this can't touch the old Houston's however the food was very good. The Hawaiian Steak is incredible. Drew the waiter was extremely knowledgeable and professional and made the experience exceptional. Great knowledge of the menu and gave great recommendations and had a great personality. Service like this will bring customers in just for the exceptional service he definitely should be recognized from management employees like this are not as common...I'm a business owner TRUST ME!..this is a reservation only restaurant maybe because of Covid makes sense however after closing out a bill I decided I wanted a drink along with guests at my table however it was declined because they advised there were reservations for my table. If I'm still spending money after a $300.00 bill as a business owner this guest is going to be accommodated however NOT AT WOODMONT GRILL......INTERESTING RIGHT...also a senior citizen female at my table she was asked to remove a hat in the dinning area...this is a woman. I don't care what the policy is...you don't know if she has chemotherapy issues etc...I get men removing hats etc....this establishment doesn't have a very detailed menu or extravagant experience to go to this extreme in my opinion....This isn't Houston's....of the GEORGETOWN days...a WATERED down version with cosmetic attractiveness inside however the menu...for food is good but extremely limited. My waiter was the highlight however I was a guest for a birthday HOWEVER I would rather spend MORE money and go to RUTH CHRIS OR MORTON'S...THE FOOD IS GOOD HOWEVER NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR THE LIMITED FOOD MENU AND POLICIES...WE COULDN'T EVEN SIT CLOSE TO EACH OTHER ONLY 8 PEOPLE AND WE HAD RESERVATIONS..SERVICE FROM MY WAITER DREW WAS EXCEPTIONAL HOWEVER NOT EVEN HE COULD GET ME TO RETURN...IF ONLY I COULD TRANSFER HIM TO RUTH CHRIS...OR MORTON'S...????..SUMMARY DO I RECOMMEND YOU GO TO WOODMONT GRILL...? ABSOLUTELY NOT...THE BIRTHDAY GIRL AND EVERYONE ADVISED WE MADE A MISTAKE WE WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER OFF AT BLACKS ACROSS THE STREET...YOU LIVE AND LEARN...NEVER AGAIN..THEY ALSO SUBLIMINALLY RUSH YOU WITHOUT MAKING IT OBVIOUS CONSTANTLY STARING AT YOUR TABLE TO SEE HOW CLOSE YOU ARE TO FINISHING THE FOOD FOR A INCOMING RESERVATION...WALKING PASS CLEARING EVERYTHING OFF YOUR TABLE BEFORE YOU CAN ACTUALLY FINISH YOUR FOOD...I HAD TO TELL ONE WORKER I WASN'T FINISHED WITH MY SUNDAE...MY RATING IS IT'S OK...THE ISSUES I'VE DESCRIBED REGARDLESS OF THE HAWAIIAN STEAK...MAKE IT OK..AND I'VE BEEN ALL OVER THE WORLD AND HAVE NO PROBLEM SPENDING A HUNDRED DOLLARS OR MORE ON A GOOD STEAK...Ask Dee Fair Common Sense 101/you tube.

This restaurant is a little gem in the heart of Bethesda. Lunchtime was not too busy, although we had to wait for a while to be seated. Service was friendly, on top of things, with no much fanfare but on the ready to attend. The appetizers - smoked salmon and grilled artichoke - were absolutely delightful, flavorful, fresh and unique. Entree - prime ribs - were juicy, nicely spiced, and cooked to perfection. The place is peaceful and elegant - lunch was a relaxing break in a hectic day. Highly recommended
