Alas, it is closed! This was one of our most dependable restaurants and the best Chinese Food in Bethesda with a walk-up counter and a long line but they are closed.
This place is my go-to spot for lunch if I want Chinese food near Montgomery Mall. The lunch special deals are excellent, and can't go wrong with any of the items. I tend to go with the General Tso's Chicken, and the sauce isn't as sweet as other places, and the chicken actually has chunks of meat compared to some places that are covered mostly in batter with a small piece of chicken. I definitely like their version of General Tso's Chicken the best, and it's worth every penny. In regards to the environment and service, the waiter comes and ask where you want to sit, and he reserves the table for you so no other guests take it, then you go up to the register and place your order. Afterwards, go sit at your table, and the server brings water and tea. It's a pretty small restaurant, so it's best to come early before the rush if you want to dine in. Overall, I've only had good experience here, and the food is worth it simply for the lunch specials.
Casual generally well prepared food at reasonable prices and generous portions. Menu caters to very standard dishes familiar to Americans and is not extensive. Since they don’t offer beer I asked if we could bring one in from store next door as we were with friends we hadn’t seen in a while. Do not repeat my mistake in asking this of the grouchy owner.
