Congratulations to the chef. The young gentleman cooked our cheeseburgers to perfection. Like seriously. Probably one of the best burgers I've ever had. The presentation was quite lackluster though. The french fries were also a little undercooked to my taste. We purchase a sauce on the side, that came warm. A surprise, but a welcomed one. The dining room was packed with patrons from other venues, making it quite a challenge to find a table. Overall, outside of the burger, it was a perfectly average fast food experience. I sincerely hope to never have to ever set another foot in Maryland though.
$18 plus a Tip for a burger and fry and this is not a sit down restaurant??? I was surprised when a tip screen popped up when I was at the counter ordering my food. This is not a restaurant and my food wasn’t fast and my frys wasn’t fresh or seasoned. So me paying $18 and a tip is ridiculous. The worst shake shack location please go somewhere else it’s plenty of options.
NASTY, NASTY EXPENSIVE FOOD. The only restaurant open in the mall on Sunday. Burgers were bitter, dry and overdone. The fries were completely unexceptional. $26 for this nasty, nasty food. Makes 5 Guys look like gourmet burgers!

Agree that the presentation of to go orders needs improvement. They don’t use boxes for the fries anymore? Also I was missing a chicken sandwich (out of 3) from my order when my husband brought it back. It’s inconvenient to waste gas and go back for it. I had to leave a voicemail because there’s no way to get a live person for immediate resolution. “Within 24 hours” is the turnaround time.
The Potomac location serves better food. The burgers was really dry. The fry was a bit cold. Chicken nuggets were really greasy and the coating was falling off.
Burger partially cooked. Workers need more training and working under supervision. Never see manager around specially in busy days like weekends . I always have good experience at shake shack but not in this spot one. Please make an improvement
Food was delicious. I have visited multiple shacks shakes and this is no different in my opinion. The quality is still there. Being a new location, im sure there are improvements that they can do. The number 1 thing they need to focus on improving is customer service. The guy taking the order needs to do a better job screaming out the orders and communicating to the customer. While I was there, I noticed 3 people upset that they were being ignored. I hope they can manage to address these issues, and if they do, then this would be a good location spot. Given them 4 stars since I personally got my food on time and it was delicious.
