ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, AVOID this location at all costs.I'll tell you why...While I was waiting for my chicken teriyaki plate, another man came up and grabbed one of them and I was pretty sure he grabbed the order I would have gotten if we went in order. Oh well. But then when I got my plate after waiting a bit longer, which is fine, I noticed the portion size was smaller. When I went back and asked for a LITTLE bit more chicken, all of the workers there said no, with some attitude, and told me I would need to pay the extra $1.99 for "extra meat."How is it extra meat when you guys didn't even give enough to begin with? The employees here looked like they hated their job and let me ask, if you go to a place where the staff begrudgingly help their customers ask yourself what the quality of the food might actually be like? They probably don't care.I asked if there was someone I could speak with and apparently there isn't a manager on-site because they said they didn't have anyone. So I ended up leaving and am hungry still now as I write this.If you think about it, this place is basically just sugar syrup coated chicken with grease, plus rice and vegetables. There are MUCH healthier options available here at the food court.I will never be coming to another Sarku ever again and will make sure others know not to come to this location because you clearly don't care at all about your coworkers and would rather charge them an extra couple dollars for something that wasn't even their fault!Tell me is it really worth the $2 to tarnish your reputation as a consistent mall food court dining option?
I got beef bento and it was delicious and service and was great. The dancing eel had the right amount avocado and crab in the roll, and the eel on top of it was amazing. The staff at the restaurant were very friendly.
Don't waste your money chicken was like rubber rice was like paste the dumplings were over cooked meat was like rubber sushi was smelling bad ?horrible.
I usually love Sarku Japan but the service and quality today was horrible! First off a 45min wait for a sushi roll, Ridiculous! Second I paid for the 6 dumplings and only received 4. I also paid for extra chicken and extra teriyaki sauce and hardly received any teriyaki sauce. The service was horrible and the workers where rude. If you don’t like your job you don’t have to work there simple as that.
This is a comment of concern. The cross contamination going on behind that counter is concerning. I watched the man with no gloves scoop raw chicken with a scoop on to the grille, get a bag of veggies and put those on the grille, Scoop rice into a few customer's containers, open the dirty trash can lid to throw something away and then go back to cooking on the grille. If it hasn't happened already, someone is going to get sick. be careful.
Ever since the sushi counter has come here, the sushi has gone down hill. Check out these pieces. No avocado in the California roll and look at some of the pieces of spicy tuna. Boo! The other spot was so good
This has become our go to spot for quick Japanese food in the mall including mall sushi. The Sushi bar has not reopened and we can now get Sushi items from their main location. We generally get the following dishes:Teriyaki ChickenShrimp Tempura SushiGreen Dragon RollThe dishes are consistent in quality and taste and good enough for mall food court dining expectations. There is often a long wait time for getting our order. I believe that is because of the Sushi order coz other food item orders get serviced quicker. The negative side to this is that the Teriyaki Chicken is halfway cold by the time we get our order. So we generally end up doing 2 orders to get the food items as soon as possible.Decent option in the mall.
The most bland oily food I’ve ever had. Eww
Two words: VERY SLOW. If you order a fried rice dish, they make it fast, but if you order actual sushi or rolls wait time is ridiculous and the fish freshness varies quite a bit.
I understand covid is making things difficult everywhere, but if your fish isn't fresh don't sell sushi! And in 5 months in Japan I never experienced soggy rice, or watered down sauce with no flavor. This was worse than 80s food court Chinese places. Worse than 80s roller rink pizza. Worse than starving.
