The food here is not your average asian cuisine. It has a different flavor, which I really enjoyed and it's also healthy! The staff was friendly enough to accommodate my little ones with their kid-friendly policy so we can all enjoy some good flavors together without worrying about what might be too spicy or strong for them - they have plenty of options even if you're looking specifically at those types anyway (but don't worry: there are none). And let me tell ya...those miso soups are worth coming back just because they taste THAT GOOD!!!
I cannot fathom this is rated the number 2 restaurant in town. We found it marginal at best. We had two rolls and a bunch of different pieces of nigiri. The lobster roll was super weird with celery and was supposed to be reminiscent of a tea lobster roll. Epic fail. Then the California roll had loads of fish eggs inside the roll which again is weird. And the whitefish was like mystery fish - horrible. Would not return for sure. They do pack them in here, so maybe people like it, but I’d say it’s sub-par sushi.
We went for a fun dinner with family Once we finally got someone to seat us, yes we had a reservation, it was a fast & furious environment. The food was delivered fast and it was good. The atmosphere was not what I expected - a fee levels down from all the restaurants in Bethesda.
Delicious as usual!! I love the seafood XO, seaweed salad, and pumpkin soup. I also recommend the raku roll.
Great service and the food was very good.
Pre COVID this restaurant was one of the best Asian eateries in Bethesda. Luckily it still is! The Black Cod was delicious! Dumpling appetizers were also tasty.
If you're looking for a great Sushi spot, look no further than Raku!! Located in downtown Bethesda...very fresh Sushi, bento bowls, spirits, wine....great service....just make sure you have a reservation for the weekend!
I would highly recommend. The food there is excellent. The taste is great, and the service flawless. All that and maintaining cleanliness and distancing during Covid19 times. Outside seating is available too.
I was treated to a nice dinner here, and the food was wonderful. The sushi and sashimi was fresh and the ambiance was nice. I had the miso cod fish as an entree and was not disappointed, the only thing that did not blend too well was the tomato sauce at the bottom of the dish. Otherwise the food was delicious.
The sashimi was great! Fresh and great cut! The udon soup is the best i have around here!
