It's an OK italian restaurant for the downtown bethesda area. I've been to this place so many times already and I can tell you this: pizza is inconsistent, marinara sauce is a YES, wine is good, appetizers are bland, service is not so good, waiters/ waitresses seem to hate their job and are always pushy, the two young ladies by the bar are not so friendly. Nothing has changed since the 1st visit, maybe it's about time to go look for another place.
I tried the panzerotti and the solo carne pizza. The panzerotti was nothing like I have ever had, it was so delectable, it's a mini calzone deep fried. The outside tasted almost like a wonton and the internal cheese and prosciutto filling was to die for, I was happily surprised with the marinara sauce that was served on the side, it tasted tangy but sweet, it's the best marinara that I've ever had. I wish they would sell it by the bottle. The solo carne pizza on the other hand was a bit of a let down. The taste and topping were delicious but the sauce was way too runny and made everything fall off the pizza and made the dough soggy, it was so difficult to eat that I had to eat it with a fork and knife. If they fix this problem it would be an amazing pizza. So for a messy pizza this is the spot to come.
Great place. Nice pizza and really good calzone. Impressive wine list. Place was crowded when we visited but getting a table didn't take too long. Nice staff and food comes quick. They also waited on us while we were waiting. Can't recommend the Capricciosa enough. It was fantastic, more like a quattro stagione in Europe. Will return soon.
Not only are the pizzas great, nice cocktails at decent prices as well
I thought it was pretty good but my girlfriend hated it. I wish there were more options for crust size, not enough cheese on the pizza and it kinda just slid off. Also my girlfriend found a hair in her pizza. Just kinda not worth all the hype; I would say decent but just not worth the price.
Ordered a couple of appetizers and pizzas. They forgot to bring the appetizers out but fully acknowledged thier mistake, the manager came over to apologize, they fixed the issue, and offered some complimentary Gelato. All of the food we ordered was great and the server was very attentive.
Always excellent food. We give it a 10!! We take clients and family. Perfect experience.
I absolutely love the pizza here. Fire stove cooked and the ingredients are always fresh and tastes amazing. This is my favorite place to get pizza. Only downside is there's only 1 size, which is comparable to a medium sized pizza.
Outstanding for food and service. We had roasted pepper app, arugula salad, orrechiette, and pizza. Nice beer menu. Best cappuccino I've ever had. My friends also loved it.
So disappointed today. Called for a pick up order and not acknowledged when I arrived. Stood at bar and waited. Sat at bar and waited. Only person at bar and restaurant not busy. Guy walks up to bar and is immediately acknowledged. So I just left without my order. After a long day, who needs it? I know you saw me Miss Bartender. Even eye contact would have been. Thank goodness there’s plenty of other options in Bethesda.
