Great food, service and overall dining experience.

Very good! Excellent service. Crab cakes were outstanding !

Persimmon has been open since 1998, but I’ve never noticed it before. The owner & manager were warm and friendly, and it’s the kind of cozy, reliable neighborhood place that I used to love when we lived in JP in Boston. Except for the dessert (which is probably not prepared entirely on the premises), the quality of the food and excellence of preparation was superb. Great & varied menu, delicious specials. We split a lobster roll for an appetizer and it was delicious, perfectly balanced (I’ve eaten at great lobster shacks in Maine, so I tend to be quite picky!). I would go back for any date night. Delicious scallops, perfect bronzino, tender and flavorful filet mignon.

Wonderful!

Overall, great experience. We had the rainbow trout and the filet mignon, both were delicious. I also highly recommend the passion fruit martini. Will definitely be coming back!

We have been going to Persimmon from the beginning. As usual the food was delicious. We always enjoy eating there.

The food was okay, but not particularly memorable. The ingredients were nice, but the preparation did not do them justice. The flavor of the pan-seared scallops, for example, was completely overpowered by sun dried tomatoes. Maybe my expectations were too high after reading all the great reviews here; everything on the menu sounded like it should have been delicious. On the bright side, service was friendly.

Food was excellent

The food was excellent and the service great. It got a little noisy at times but ok.

The food was very good. My friend had rockfish and I had mussels and frites. So delicious.
