HORRIBLE!! The owner changes the prices without telling you! I order a salad because it was $5 but when the check came it was $8. My daughter order a chicken dish that said it was $13 we were charged $17. We asked why and he said prices are going up… I said then your menu needs to change he said I have 7 locations I don’t have time. he should not be allowed to change prices after I order I would not added the salad if I knew it was more. The waitress never said anything no notice what so ever the prices changed. I said I would not come back the owner became confrontational absolutely horrible experience for mediocre food. BUYER BEWARE
Guy at the front has a really unwelcoming and bad attitude, may be the manager. Employees are quiet and seem to be intimidated. Walked in and out in less than a minute.
Nice service and amazing carbonara so rich i couldn't finish. The staff prides itself on making you feel at home and welcoming back repeat customers.

Whatever you do, avoid this place. We walked in to dine and the man that appeared to be the manager was rude and disrespectful. He was a heavier set, white man. When we sat down to eat the table and plates were filthy. We waited until our pizza was ready and the stand that they brought it out on was filled with dust and hair. We asked our waitress who was the only friendly person there for a new stand. She brought us a new one and cleaned it off before hand. When she brought us bigger plates for our pizza, they were so dirty we had to use our own sanitizer we had with us to clean them off. I will never be returning to this place and do not recommend giving them your money.
Surprisingly fantastic pizza and the linguine Bolognese is just perfect.
Terrible experience, If you're ordering thru Doordash or Uber eats, look somewhere else. Doordash orders got cancelled instantly, never gone thru. I ordered 2 times via Uber eats and both shown normal on app but did NOT actually go thru their system for some reason. First time, Uber Eats app shown "the food is ready to pick up" but they didn't prepare my order due to the "technical issue". The lady was kind enough to reorder it and I didn't mind waiting for another 15 mins. The second time, the manager (I think) didn't seem even care just blame Uber and ask me to cancel that order. I understand the platforms take like 30% out of it but since you chose to cooperate with them, just do it right. If you don't care about your customer, I don't mind spending another 10 min post down 1 star.
Overpriced for the quality of the food. No subtlety in any of the dishes. Looking around, everybody's pasta was swimming in the same tomato sauce. Didn't enjoy it one bit and wouldn't bother to go again.
Loved Mamma Lucia! They seated us 15min before closing last night-- I am so thankful for the lovely server and other employees! I was desperately trying to find food for my daughter after a late soccer game and we had already been turned away from another restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was amazing! Thank you Mamma Lucia's!!!!
We thought this place was great. Our waitress was just awesome and helped us be picky eaters lol. The food was delicious. They make all the food in house from scratch EXCEPT for the pasta. That was a little disappointing but it was still super delicious. We ordered a side of Alfredo and they whipped it up from scratch so that really impressed us AND it was velvety, smooth, creamy and delicious. Prices are reasonable considering Bethesda is pretty pricey.When we come back to Bethesda we will be back here for sure
