These cookies are worth the splurge. The staff seems to tolerate working there, I don’t think I’ve ever been helped by someone friendly so far. The cookies are huge with a crunchy outside and soft gooey inside, the best of both worlds. My favorite is the chocolate chip walnut, hands down! We’ve also tried the double chocolate which was super rich, almost like a brownie. We tried a loaf of the cinnamon raisin nut type bread which was good but a little dry for me, I probably would not get that again. The cookies live up to their reputation for sure!
Went to check out new places in Bethesda on Friday, came to Bethesda Avenue and after walking through the different restaurants and shops, I came across this bakery that sold these delicious cookies that looked amazing. They cost $5 each, I know, but each of them were about the size of my fist and when I tasted the Dark Chocolate Chip Cookie, I was transported to what made Bethesda great: rich food, unique restaurants and smells. If you plan on coming to Bethesda, make sure to stop here for a tasty treat that goes great with your favorite kind of ice cream.
I tried the chocolate chip cookie. I liked the crunchy crust and the chewy texture, but I felt like it lacks that warm cookie’s flavor I just tasted the chocolate and the sugar, also there is a very light chemically aftertaste maybe baking soda or something I don’t know.
The very best chocolate chip and chocolate chip/walnut cookies ever. Plentiful chocolate chips and fresh. I had them delivered via Uber Eats and even though the driver had one stop ahead of mine, when they arrived, they were still warm. I broke one of the cookies apart and the chocolate was gooey, the taste was buttery, a little chewy in the very best way. I’ve never had a cookie this good — not even baked at home. They use the finest ingredients and cook with loving care. Food usually reflects the cook, chef or baker. These cookies were joy in a box.
Excellent baked goods! Almost as good as my mom's muffins. But the coffee is a bit meh. Not bad, but not excellent. Still better than Starbucks
We are in town for NIH cancer trial. Many layers of stress, of travel. I was on a mission to get a rich treat for later. This place is inviting, and it’s very cool that you can watch the baker and see the very serious baking & ovens setup. I asked the kind staff for their most indulgent chocolate treat. They suggested (I think it’s called) a “double chocolate brownie,” which looks like a giant brownie / drop-biscuit hybrid. It is indeed life changing. It just calms the seas. I would say best brownie ever, but it’s not just a brownie, it’s its own whole thing. They also have such a well appointed beverage condiments self-serve area that’s basically peerless. It’s gently bright & beautiful in there, and if you just need a powerful chocolate treat, this is The Treat. ❤️?❤️
Sooo delicious. The cookies are so big, crisp on the outside and warm and gooey on the inside. I wish I could have them everyday!
The worst customer service I’ve experienced in years. I walked in today, Jan 17 around 4pm, and was the only customer in the store. All three associates were on their cell phones, and not one of them looked up to acknowledge me. I said, “excuse me, can I ask a question?”, at which point one of the associates looked up, slowly walked over to me, and said “sure” in a tone that made me feel a nuisance. It was as if I’d interrupted him from his break.I decided not to make my purchases. And will not be returning to this location.
Super friendly and helpful ladies at the front counter! They made me a fresh cookie so it was perfectly warm. I ordered a dark chocolate chocolate chip cookie and the cinnamon brioche. The cookie was absolutely phenomenal. Gooey chocolate chips oozed into the rest of the cookie- the whole thing was super sweet and rich, perfect for sharing with a friend. The brioche was just the right texture and the cinnamon wasn't too sweet, which was nice to pair with such a sweet cookie. We just ate them an hour ago and my husband already said he wants to go by again to grab some more.
Overrated and overpriced. Oatmeal cookies hardly has oatmeal. Walnut cookies have hardly walnuts. Low quality ball of dough. Bland and no flavour whatsoever in any of the cookies. There are better cookies out there.. stay away from this place. Would not recommend.
