Wife and I are from Florida and along with my brother and sister-in-law who live in DC we dined on a Saturday night with no problem getting a table. We began with BBQ spare ribs that were meaty and tasty. We all then had hot and sour, mixed egg drop and wonton soups. Our entrees were triple delight, moo shi chicken, fresh mango shrimp and house fried rice. All the food was served hot. All portions were good. Prices are reasonable. A good tasty experience.
When I was in the mood for some good, fresh Chinese food with little to no wait time? This place had what you want! They even let me enjoy my drink while sitting at their bar - which is where all of us tourists should be anyway right?! The staff here are SO nice. You can tell they're happy when people come through these doors because everyone just seemed so friendly and inviting... Plus who doesn't love free chocolate cake from a bakery??
Just ordered from restaurant for delivery. No idea when it was suppose to be delivered. When calling number, either it states it does not take any more messages or Im placed on hold and then told driver will be here in 2 minutes. And all I wanted was basic service.
The decoration is a bit funky but trust me when I say that there isn't better food in Bethesda. Everything here is PERFECT and the wait staff is so kind. The atmosphere is amazing too and it's fun to see everyone having a good time drinking at the bar. We only order from here.
This place has so much going for it. It's got some of our favorite Chinese food anywhere, even considering the multiple solid options in Bethesda alone. The staff is always so welcoming and helpful. And on top of everything, it has its own fully stocked tiki bar with an extensive menu thay pays tribute to the classics. Many people even visit in their tiki shirts, especially on Thursday nights when they have so great deals on cocktails. If you forgot your Hawaiian shirt, they may even have one for your to borrow, if you'd like. The drinks are such a fun additional layer to an already fantastic dining experience. Do yourself a favor and try them out. You won't regret it... and I bet it won't be your last visit!
Our order was not ready on pick up. We arrived 45 minutes after our order was placed, and we still waited over an hour this eve. We got home to 4 of our 7 orders incorrect. Everything but one item was cold! It was a very disappointing family New Year Eves dinner! I tried to attempt to call and no pick up!
Great tasting food. Ordering out very simple. Comfortable/relaxing atmosphere (haven't been during Thursday night). They seem short-staff, so like much of life after covid - patience is virtue.
Foong Lin is always good but they barbecued spareribs are fabulous
The food and atmosphere here are legit amazing. Everyone was so nice. Most unique of all is the tiki bar and it comes with Hawaiian night Thursday’s with amazingly priced drink specials. I will certainly be returning!!
We've tried like 10 Chinese restaurants in and around Bethesda. House of Foong Lin is easily the best. Super tasty, super friendly, and whether or not you eat there or get it to go, the food is always piping hot and fresh.
