I enjoy when I visit a restaurant and it’s not crowded because there’s no notice in the background and it lets me concentrate and enjoy more the food of my plate. It’s a small place that has a lot to offer, the waiters are fast and friendly and give great recommendations. Even thought the size of the plates it’s not big it’s just the right size so you can enjoy a soup, a main plate and a dessert. The food came fast, the duck was juicy and had lots of flavor as well the onion soup.I will definitely go back!

Fun small French inspired place. Feels like a corner French cafe in Paris. Edison lights. You know. They almost always have a huge 36oz ribeye (tomahawk presentation). Outside seating too. Convenient location in downtown Bethesda. Nice custom cocktails and the wait staff is very knowledgeable about food and the menu in general. The escargot is a delight. Pro tip: dip the mini brioche in the garlic sauce! They’re good people with lots of opinions and you’d be remiss to not ask for them!

Gewat fiid. Loved their trout and duck confit. Try the asparagus. It is fantastic

super cute restaurant but the service was mediocre at best. our waitress was not welcoming at all, neither was having a hostess wandering around staring down the tables. honestly felt judged the whole time. the food was good, but definitely on the pricey side.

Good French food. For our party something for fish lovers, duck lovers, mussel lovers and veggie lovers. Nice outdoor seating on the street. Wines by the glass all right, and got a taste of one I did not know, but ordered something different.

Partner got mild food poisoning from the slow roasted duck here. Not sure if we caught them on a bad day or too late in the day but while the service was alright - the food was incredibly lack luster. It took an oddly long time to arrive and came out cold (in the meantime, other tables were receiving similar appetizer orders while we've been waiting). While my partner and I ordered the same thing, I asked for my dish well done - which was highly discouraged but I am glad I insisted. The Baltimore location was MUCH more flavorful with a better atmosphere and am beyond surprised at my experience here. Paid out of respect/to be polite and received a complimentary water glass bottle for the trouble but I would recommend to tread carefully here.

Splendid authentic French food

Cozy French brasserie in Bethesda serving creative, excellent cocktails and delicious French food. A bit on the pricey side but well worth it for a special meal.Server was friendly and attentive. Food was nicely plated.Everything we ordered was delicious and servings were just right. A bit stingy on the bread. If you asked for extra, it would be $4 per person!Cocktails:La vie en roseGolden gooseDuck l’orangeStarters:French onion soupSteak tartareMoules fritesEscargotMains:Crispy troutDdg burger with foie grasSteak fritesDuck confitDessert:Flourless chocolate cakeBread puddingLemon tartAll in all a wonderful meal for special occasions .Would go again for date night ?

Nice presentation and food tasted great for the price point. Even came in a fancy takeout bag. Duck bolognese had a smooth and creamy sauce. Ratatouille was a nice appetizer, refreshed the palate. Would come here again.

We celebrated our 17th anniversary here on Saturday and shame on us for not going sooner. Many friends have recommended it to us in the past, but we've kept postponing. No more! We had drinks at the bar while we waited for our table and watched two other tables celebrate special occasions. Mainly, we watched as well-prepared plates zipped by; we wanted everything we saw - it all looked delicious! For dinner, we shared a beet salad, cheese and charcuterie. The salad, chicken pate and duck prosciutto were perfect but the stars of the evening were the duck confit and the duck bucatini. Finally, we were very impressed with the attention and quality of service overall. Kristin and the entire staff went out of their way to ensure we had an unforgettable experience. We’ll be back, and next time we’re having the Côte de Boeuf!
