I took my students to this location on 7/5/22 after our field trip to a few salons on Bethesda Row at around 6:45 pm, half of my student body to include myself have been vomiting ever since. We all have different dietary choices to include vegan, pescatarian, also meat eaters so there had to be cross contamination to some degree at this location. Not happy and the major concern is we are recovering from food poisoning now.
One of my least favorite Cavas around. The toppings a lot of the times dried up and never look very fresh. They are very skimpy to the point where it’s funny. It doesn’t matter how many toppings I add to make my plate fuller, it’s never more than half full. I don’t really have an issue with that if that was the same at every Cava, but I’ve been eating this for years and have been to plenty of them to know that this is the case with this particular restaurant. The staff isn’t the nicest either. What prompted me to write this is mostly the result of my visit today where the young girl was just throwing the food into my bowl. I have been tolerating it for a while because I work around here and it’s closest to me, but the employee throwing my food into a bowl the way she did on top of the skimpy servings just did it for me today.
The portions are so skimpy I almost walked off and left it on the counter. When I asked about the portion they didn’t even answer me, they were just speaking to each other in Spanish appearing to be amused at my disappointment. Giggling.NEVER AGAIN!I should have taken the hint. It was 12pm and empty
Cava Bethesda consistently hooks it up. The team there is super friendly and efficient. Manuel made solid recommendations from meat choice to sauces to drinks. Love this location especially after a workout.
I very much enjoy the food at Cava, but I find that often times the clerks may be perhaps lazy to keep cooking and replenishing the foods, so they give you less than what you paid for. For example, I was given one meatball for an entire salad that I paid $13.27 for and I didn't ask for anything extra either. I am not accustomed going to get food and being worried that they won't give me what I paid for, hence the low rating. Also, I am not the kind of person that cares for people being nice to me when I am picking up food, but I have to mention that I found the staff to be quite rude for no reason. It was awkward...
Went in there for the first time. Quite unprofessional really. The person helping me, who seemed to be new wanted help and the other employees were just dragging their feet, smiling and talking in another language, while there was a line of customers waiting. Additionally, one kitchen employee decided it was wise to start singing out loud and scream for the whole store to hear. Most Cavas are NOT like this. Will not be returning.
Customer service is always bad when I come to this location. Thought about going to another location SOLELY for better customer service experience. Love Cava, hate this locations customer service. Workers stand around on their phone, do not greet you, rush you through the line (even when they are not busy at all).
If you are picking up an order, I hope you like waiting because they will take their sweet time making it. Rather just talk and not work on your order
The salad and sauces are tasty. Really.
Their food is consistently incredible and one of the few places that my choices aren’t limited due to being lactose intolerant.
