It’s a shame that such a nicely decorated interior and exterior is not backed up by fresh coffee. I was going to buy some of their whole bean coffee but according to the package, it was roasted a month ago. Their coffee may be excellent quality but they get it pre-packaged and shipped from a distributor in CA. By the time they sell it, it’s stale. Since I was already there, I tried a pour over of one of their single origin medium roast coffees. They don’t have anything that is described as a dark roast. As expected, the coffee tasted stale and acrid, which is what you’d expect from old coffee beans. I wish they would roast their own fresh coffee. The building is large enough. They could at least team up with a local company like Zeke’s to ensure they’re selling freshly roasted coffee. Lastly, they wanted over $20 for 12 oz of coffee beans. That is insane. If the owners see this review, I implore you to find a better supplier because you have a very nice shop. But you can’t expect true coffee lovers to return for old stale coffee.
I always love Z Vault, love their espresso drinks, drip coffee, and food. I appreciate that they have gluten free bread and oat milk and their smoothie bowls are to die for.
11:18 am on Monday 4/25Stopped by to try this this morning because I don’t live in this area. Wish I wouldn’t have wasted my time. Ordered 2 16 oz smoothies ($6.75) (+2 alternative milk which was like $2) a piece on the pull-up menu. Got an avocado toast which was like $6.75 and added turkey bacon which was like $1.50.The girl that was answering the window tells me it rung up to $30… the math isn’t mathing there. Menu is very misleading. Asked for a refund and got an attitude of annoyance which was strange. When I had to go inside from the drive thru to ask for a receipt for the refund they said it doesn’t give a receipt for the refund?I’ve worked in this same industry for over 5 years and would honestly never deal with a customer like that. Very sketchy and disappointing.Edit: called back to speak with a manager to see if I could get some confirmation that my money would be returned. The girl wouldn’t even let me speak to a manager. Like what? This place is so unprofessional. Never again!
Do not go through drive through here. We were told our order would be brought out to us if we wait by the front entrance. 25 minutes later I walk in and our order was half done sitting by the window. Food was cold by the time we got it. Horrible customer service. I did get two tokens for free drinks which was nice but it still shouldn’t have happened.
Great vibe! Very clean and has a great selection of drinks. Perfect place to remote work too. WiFi was solid and staff was very friendly and kind.
Used to love this place. Everything tastes great. However now it’s outrageously overpriced. Prices went up twice this year. Of course these are the times, but the mobile app and website prices are incorrect, and only after placing an order are you surprised that everything is about $.80-$1 more than advertised and what you were expecting to pay.I also had a black hair in my smoothy bowl and on a different occasion I witnessed the cashier making someone a muffin plate (adding blueberries to the plate) without gloves when they handle money/ payments. No washing of hands.
Their coffee is great if you appreciate strong and flavorful. Smoothies are delicious too!
This place is a hidden gem. Loved the ambiance if the place. Has many drink options.
Went through the drive-thru and was fairly quick. First time here and ordered one of the smoothie bowls. The portions were great for the price and the ingredients and bowl overall tasted fresh. Will certainly be back to try some others! Friendly staff, was patient and answered any questions had.
I went in and employees were obviously sick with Covid. I ended up getting Covid from here and it seemed like the owners only cared about making more money and not the safety of their staff or customers. Definitely go to coffee bar down the street instead.
