Everyone asked “ where did you get the food from!” We celebrated our daughter’s first birthday and it was a HIT’ Provided way too much extra BBQ sauce but it was greatly appreciated. My guest were googling the location. If you need a BBQ themed event, look no further. EXCELLENT’
We love this place! I'm a big fan of Texas BBQ, and this is the best I've had outside of Texas. For my wife's 50th birthday, we ordered 10-12 lb of meat from Woodrow's -- brisket, ribs, wings, and pulled pork -- and it was all great: crisp on the outside, but tender inside, with a nice kick. Our two sides (coleslaw and mac & cheese) were also delicious; the coleslaw was nice & sharp, without any cloying taste of sugar. Lots of people asked us where the food was from. We're looking forward to having some more Woodrow's soon!
My wife and I stop there for the first time. We had the beef brisket sandwich and pork. The brisket was tuff and fatty and the pork just average. My sandwich was very skimpy portion, the fries were good and the collard greens bland. We often go to Texas and I must say this no comparison. It was our first time here and the staff seem not go out go their way to be friendly and a few items you were out of. My sauce was a 1/4 cup they brought out, ridiculous they would even serve that! Overall not a good experience and and pricey! Will not becoming back.
Charm, customer service, delicious food. This place has got it all. Got a beer, didn’t even finish it because I was too busy eating the food. Will be back for the brisket!!!
Called in my order... got a full rack of ribs with a pint of mac and cheese and a pint of greens and a half pint of cowboy baked beans..The ribs were tough and under cookedThe baked beans were soupy and hard(not cooked). The only part of the meal that we were able to consume was the mac and cheese which was a little overcooked and bland. It definitely was not worth 49 bucks.
We love Woodrow's Bar-B-Que. An independent locally owned restaurant. The owner enjoys the neighborhood & it shows. The staff are wonderful & helpful. The food is amazing, the best in Mt. Washington!! Try the Woodrow Sandwich w/a side of baked beans.Next time I'll call ahead & reserve the ribs. I was about 20 minutes to late tonight.Happily they are open until 8:30pm again.
Entrees are good. The sides are not. Ambience is non-existent; atmosphere is almost grungy. The brisket was served at room temperature. Parking is challenging.
Try them for the first time today and boy was it a treat. The wife and I tried a little bit of everything. We had the sliced brisket pulled pork and ribs there were great the ribs are fall off the bone good. If you lookin for good bbq and good atmosphere try them out.
My family and myself went to this restaurant for lunch last weekend and was so pleased by the warm welcome an the delicious and also FRESH food! We had ribs sides and wings those ribs was one of the best I had. Also the drinks were good. Thank you all so much! We will be back soon.
Not my first time here. Got a whole rack of ribs and Cowboy beans. The ribs were meaty, smoky and tender. Not fall of the bone tender, but they weren't hard to bite off the bone either. That's exactly what I want. Perfection. They gave 2 sauces, spicy and something else that I couldn't read. I didn't care for the spicy as much as the the other one. The beans were delicious. Almost like a stew. Thought I got the small, but I actually ordered the medium. Wish I got the large. My only wish is that the beans themselves were a little more tender. Maybe cooked a little longer, but I understand making them al dente when you make a big batch that has to last all day. Those beans were delicious. Definitely getting them again.
