I ordered the cookie monster and my friend ordered the Aries birthday waffie. The waffle itself didn't taste great to me. The toppings were good and made it taste better. I also added marsallow topping. I was really expecting the waffle to taste amazing.
It all looks fantastic, but after I got my dessert the waffle itself left a lot to be desired. The waffle was cold and kind of had a bit of rubbery texture to it. I thought it tasted like it had been made that morning and used that night. Not what I expected from a place that has a name synonymous with waffles. I was hoping for a freshly made warm waffle that would melt perfectly with my ice cream. If you have kids the look of desserts will have them going bonkers and I'm sure they would enjoy it. For me it just fell flat.
I love Waffie! The waffles are soooo good and always have great flavor combinations. I also love the milkshakes, they are made with ice cream from a local Baltimore ice cream company, so nice to see local supporting local. They also are still requiring masks, which I always appreciate. I had forgotten to put mine back on when I was outside and when I came in, the staff kindly asked me to put it back on and were very friendly! Love this place so much!
Had a great time on vacation in baltimore. One of the most memorable spots we visited was definitely Waffie! The staff were amazing and the waffles were something else let me tell ya. My girlfriend was hooked we'll definitely have to visit again!
Covid restrictions have been lifted for some time and I understand that a business reserves the right to deny service but no mention of “Facemasks required” are listed prominently on their website or Insta page. After driving thirty or so minutes I was turned away- today is my anniversary and as I travel for work my wife and I have a tradition of eating ice cream together remotely. Shame.
Was excited to take my daughter here since the hype was so high. Boy were we let down! No menus, the only ways to view were scan from your phone which is and a few other couples didn’t have internet in their building. Or wait in line for a tiny order screen. So after waiting 15 minutes for the family in front of us to order we got to order. I ordered the shake with fruity pebbles on it and my daughter the Cookie Monster, never had a 13$ milkshake before so I was expecting a lot. When we got them after another 10 minutes they were so tiny and looked absolutely nothing like the pictures. I feel like someone stole from me at this point. The picture is of my fruity pebble shake.
Nowhere online did it say this place was take out only. The staff told us after we picked it up that we shouldn’t put ice cream on top for that reason. But it’s an option online as though you can eat in. So annoying. The worst part isn’t that though, it’s the fact that it’s not actually a waffle. I’m not sure what it is, but the texture and taste of the dough is not that of a waffle. It’s just shaped like one.
Payment only through a cumbersome QR code-to-website system. Sneaky tip added in. Awkward. Stressful. Asking for email, no way to decline. I couldn't deal anymore and left. I love to support small businesses at every opportunity, but when it's this kind of headache, I will just go to a chain, tell the cashier my order and swipe my card.... way faster. Sorry mom and pop.
5/5 for ice cream and waffle. They were loaded up with toppings and delicious. 1/5 for contactless ordering experience. The website crashed when we tried to order via phone and the card reader in the in-store terminal wasn't working. The family in front of us gave up and left.
My daughter and I went on an ice cream date and loved it. I didn’t eat it all because I’m not really into sweets but it was really good
