I would not recommend The Munsey or any PMC associated properties especially for other healthcare professionals moving to the Baltimore area to work nearby at JHH or other Maryland hospitals. The rent has increased to put it on par with other places in the area making it no cheaper to live here compared to other apartments. Management is unreachable after you sign your lease and the emergency maintenance people are not on-site leading to your apartment flooding or various other issues for extended periods of time before the problem is corrected. The downtown area is also pretty dangerous at night by Baltimore standards. They do offer secure parking here (for $220+ per month) which is nice for a healthcare professional like myself who works odd hours and no desire to be out in the dark. However, recently their garage door has started breaking preventing it from opening or closing. On one occasion I couldn’t get my car out of the garage and had to Uber and be late to work (not really an option for a pharmacy resident to be late to work like that). The other occasion I couldn’t get my car into the garage after an on-call shift leading me to find alternative parking. While walking to the building that night I was approached and verbally accosted by a group of guys outside the building trying to get inside. Thankfully none of them became physically violent. Not only does that negligence to security of their tenants offend me; but, I had to pay an additional $50 in Uber costs and parking fees because that garage door was not operational. That plus the concerns for my safety just has me extremely frustrated that no one is replying to my emails on the matter. Three emails have went unanswered on this issue to management when I was just asking to be reimbursed for the $50 of fees incurred due to their door being broken constantly and maintenance not showing up until 8AM to fix it.If anyone from PMC replies to this review just know as a reader for this review that it’ll be the first time I was able to hear back from anyone on this issue which should show what their true priorities are.

This place has a severe mice and roach infestation and pays residents with $25 gift cards for positive reviews.I spoke to another resident who experienced mice running up his venetian blinds. Also I’ve spoken to a few other residents who have experienced 3 to 5 mice in their apartments respectively.Do not let the leasing agent tell you that it is a fluke, it is not. Go all the way back to the time before PMC acquired the property; pest issues were still occurring but at least then you had cleaning staff at the building 24 hours a day. The trash chute is consistently backed up, sometimes up to the 10th floor.Management will avoid you and leasing agents will ignore you after your move in. You have to go down the street to 30 South Calvert St. to be able to speak to anyone to get any assistance but even then they will say what’s necessary just to get you out of the office and out of their hair.Management will ignore all of your calls and emails. I’ve witnessed a resident stop the PM in the hallway to ask her a question and she told him that it’s best to schedule an appointment. They said they tried to email her for three months and then suddenly she had time to interact. They will have you interact with the APM who can’t do anything. They act as if they cannot give the regional manager’s contact info out, nor anyone at the corporate level.A friend of a resident got attacked in the building by a homeless person and management refused to look at the cameras. Fortunately a resident’s girlfriend was home at the time and came to rescue her otherwise God knows what may have happened to her. They will tell you that there is security at the property which is a lie too. Not to mention everyone uses a door code instead of their fob. I’ve seen homeless people enter with this door code to sleep in the community room.Spend a little bit more and go elsewhere!

Maintenance is trash! I'm currently in the middle of dealing with my kitchen sink overflowing with brown smelly sewage water. I placed an "Emergency" work order using the portal and received no response. Lucky I was home when this happened. I have had to use my personal wet vac (yes I have a wet vac because apparently you need one to live here) and I'm literally working my full-time and now moonlighting as maintenance. I have had to dump the wet vac 5 times to prevent my apartment from overflowing with Sh!t water. While the property manager was understanding and took my concerns serious I will need maintenance to step it up and take less smoke breaks! It's unsanitary and unacceptable that this is ok in a "luxury" apartment! I just renewed my lease and If this is what I have to look forward to, I will NOT be renewing again!

It has become increasingly evident the lack of engaging regarding maintenance issues. Since May 2021 this apartment has presented mice problems that were never fixed (I had to). The washing and dryer unit broke after 3 uses and it was left here for 3 weeks without replacement. The bathroom sink flooded in several occasions which was then disconnected by maintenance, leaving me without a sink for almost a month, despite my insistence on a solution. Now there is water damage in the kitchen ceiling due to leaks from the apartment above. I reported the issue to the after hours “Emergency Maintenance” phone number, and an individual came, said that contractors needed to be contacted and left. The biggest problem is not the leak and water running down my kitchen, the DANGEROUS issue is that the water is running down the wiring of the kitchen light, which, as you can see in the image, is filling up with water. I don’t think anybody needs a reminder that water and electricity do not go well and it constitute a huge fire hazard for the entire building and residents. It is incredible distressful to get home from work, turn the kitchen lights and see that the lamp is filled with water from a reported leak. The next day, I was told by maintenance personal that they couldn’t made it but that as long as I didn’t turn the lights on, I’ll be okay. The solution from maintenance, after insisting on a solution, was to bring a bucket and place it below the leak. Is this a joke?….In addition, property management is nowhere to be found, despite their “my staff and I are available should you need anything at all”… they never are. Lovely.

I been at the Munsey for 10 years. Going through 15 different management companies. The last 3 years was horrible. Mouse everywhere and when I told them about it they sent Maintaince with mouse traps.

I didn't visit the Munsey..the bus stop is right across the street. I would love to live there.

It’s the management for me! Gabby the property manager went above and beyond to work with me to make sure I got exactly what I wantedShe took me to many properties that met my needs. Then when I got to this property I was impressed and well taken care of. This community is nice, the apartments are large and clean. Definitely would recommend this place, and please ask for Gabby you won’t be disappointed. Professionalism on point

It's a nice quiet place. But it only accepts disability tenants.

This is the worse building to move in . They don’t care about your well-being. They have mice , they need to redo the whole entire building over . It’s dirty & the parking in the garage is horrible & closed in .
