We visited the Abbey for the Arsenal block party, but we loved it so much we went back a second time before we left Baltimore. The staff was incredibly kind, the food was delicious, and everything was reasonably priced. We were also surprised by how large the portions were! When we find ourselves in Baltimore again, we will absolutely be returning to the Abbey Burger Bistro! Go gunners!
I've done my 4th withdrawal successfully with no extra charges or fees paid. Thank you once again Mrs Kathrine Lucas you have helped me pay my debt, I was so worried because there was no where to get money from since I lost my job with a debt of 20,000 dollars. When I started my first trade investment just with $1000 I got a profit payout of $10,560 in 6 working days then I made another investment and I was able to access my trade account to see if everything was going very well..... I'm very happy she kept to her words by helping me pay my debt now I'm debt free, I can feed my family three times a day all with the help of Mrs Kathrine Lucas management. I advise anyone who wants a perfect investment that is trusted and profitable with the liability of paying out profit at the due date should contact her via https://whatsapp: +19294507706,email:[email protected]
I don't know if our experience was unique or if the whole restaurant was having an off night, but I did not have a great meal here.We visited on a Thursday and from start-to-finish the service was disconnected. They seem to split responsibilities so you can only order food and drink from separate people. That makes it difficult to put drink orders in because the bar staff did not visit tables much after the other server took our food order. We also struggled to get our check after asking for it from multiple people. I ended up having to awkwardly stand by the bar after ~20 min and begging ANOTHER person for help because we were really desperate to get out of there. In terms of the food, my husband and I both got burgers that had a smoked element. They were both way on the sweet side, with the smokiness overpowered everything else. I don't know if Abbey burger legitimately smokes stuff or if they use liquid smoke, but neither of us could stand to finish our burgers. The other diner with us got the Baltimore burger and expressed that it was fine. At our table, we also tried the alligator bites, which were unassuming but fine.Between the 3 of us, we also tried the house-made chips, the onion rings ($3 upcharge), and the waffle fries ($4 upcharge). The chips were pretty burnt/bitter and didn't even have much seasoning. We threw salt on them, but didn't really stick since they were cooled. Didn't finish them. The onion rings were fine, but the coating reminded me of pancake batter from the sweetness of it. The waffle fries were rock-hard. ?♀️ Not sure if they were old fries that were re-fried or if they just sat in the oil for a long time. They weren't warm, so I assume they'd been lying around dying somewhere. (Did I mention they were an extra $4??)Credit I can give to the staff is that they re-fired the waffle fries no problem. New batch tasted fine, albeit it still lacked seasoning. I guess the kitchen isn't big on salt? ?♀️They're getting 2 stars out of me only for the fact that 1/3 burgers was ok + alligator bites were palatable. I would neither recommend nor return Abbey Burger since food and service were all disappointing.
Was a recommendation from a local friend, nice, rustic place tucked into an alley, a menu consisting of a variety of bar foods made from different domestic and game meats. We went with sliders and alligator bites. A really fun meal, the staff was great and helpful, would recommend!
Burgers are amazing. Fries and tater tots are also good. Service was awesome.
friendly staff, good recommendations, enjoyed the 3 game burger plate, was not a fan of 1 but that still left 2 to enjoy and 1 to talk about!
04/17/2022 EDIT: We stopped by here again since we were in the neighborhood and to give it a second chance. I only ordered sides, whe my fiance order the Baltimore Burger. The 911 sauce wings were crispy and hot. The fries were also hot and well seasoned! My fiance said his burger was on the heavy side so don't order it unless you're starving! I will still give it 4 stars, customer service was great, but the service is kinda slow even though only one other customer was there.EDIT: I've updated my review from 3 stars to 4 stars for excellent customer service. I contacted the manager and we were able to sort things out. I will be back soon to give them another try.Our burgers came out kind of cold and the duck wasn't anything special and dry.
1st time at The Abbey, feels more like a pub than a bistro, which is fine. Sunday noon may not have been the best of times to visit. They were short staffed, and it showed. Helped was called in, so that made service better. The food was good. Burgers, outstanding; fried pickles were tasty, but way too much breading. The house made chips were just okay, an up charge for fries onion rings, etc. Better choice than the chips. Still, good ambiance and great burgers are worth the visit.
Create your own burger ! Lots of options ! Cozy atmosphere and easy going people !
One of the best restaurants in Baltimore. Abbey provides a unique burger experience with a variety of meat and vegan choices as well as the widest variety of toppings you will find anywhere. Definitely recommend! Also, try the spiked milk shakes - cinnamon toast crunch is my favorite!
