I was recently introduced to this restaurant by my sister,.... I mean "hooked" on restaurant. My first time I ordered the stuffed salmon, yams and cabbage. My only complaint is the yams were too sweet "for me". They were good, just sweet. Also they had pineapple upside down bread pudding. I enjoyed it like a fat kid who loves cake. I had to try it a second time to make sure I wasn't over hyping the food because I was hungry. It was even better the second time, I ordered Stuffed salmon, Mac and cheese with greens. I know Glen Burnie is not far but I called in my order picked up my food and bring it back home. My food was still hot!!Go now, you know you hungry!! You will not be disappointed and tell them that I sent you!!
Food is good but the portions are very small. I order the grilled catfish. They give you one small piece of fish and add a lot of rice at the bottom to make it look like a nice size order. I just payed $14.00 for one piece of catfish. Next time I’ll just go to Cracker Barrel’s and get three pieces of catfish with two sides for $14.00.
Spiced shrimp was good along with whatever sauce was on it. Green beans tasted canned. Collard greens ok, not a ton of flavor. The mac and cheese (not pictured) was pretty ok, basic take out max and cheese. On the upside my online takeout order was ready quickly and they’re reasonably priced for what you get. Might try some different sides if i decided to go back.
My family from Boston had the graduation party catered on 5/21/2022 here in Baltimore. We enjoyed your yams, yellow rice, cabbage, macaroni & cheese, collard greens, barbecue chicken, fried chicken wings, crab cakes, and fried fish. We forgot all about the sweltering heat with every bite. We just want to thank TASTE THIS for delicious food and quality delivery service. You now have food fans from 3 yrs old to 80+ in Baltimore, Boston, New York and North Carolina. Congratulations to the Morgan State University Class of 2022 and especially my cousin Miniya.
I always look forward to taking people new to the city here, and they are amazed by the taste and quality every time. It never fails to impress. I think they keep special bees in the back for their Honey Old Bay wings, because I have never tasted anything like it before.
The pictures of the food looks way better than it actually is. I had the fried catfish, mac and cheese and collard greens and it was very very very bland. The whole meal lacked seasoning. My brother had Buffalo parmesan wings that were really good. If I ever went back it would be for those wings.
I'm so disappointed I came last Friday and the food I would say 3 stars because I had to wait over 30 minutes. Which was kind of insane to me but I overlooked that because the food was okay. But the reason why I'm leaving a review today was because the macaroni and cheese was not consistent from Friday. It could have been because there were different staff members it was cold and it actually was nasty. The catfish I think they dumped a bucket of salt on it before frying it and the greens same thing cold and very salty. I definitely was expecting for the quality to be like it was Friday. So things to improve the wait time on call in orders and the food consistency it shouldn't be different in the evening time. But I'm definitely waste of money and time?☹️
Four stars because I only had the Garden Salad and it would not be a fair assessment without trying their prepared dishes.
Man where do I start! The fried whiting was delicious, the collards yummy, the salmon was awesome, and the sweet potatoes was great! The only flaw was the Mac and cheese. Not very flavorful. Will always be a food choice for me. A hidden gem in this bad city.
We ordered lunch for our office today, 6 people, and it was delicious. Everyone loved their food (bbq chicken, pork chops, mac and cheese, asparagus, etc) and raved about how tasty and fresh it was. The entire order was correct, nice and hot. Truly impressed and looking forward to coming back soon!
