Would give 0 stars if possible. Tonight my wife waited for 20 minutes in a line at R House to get Ice Cream, and was in line before 9pm. She finally got up to the register and the Taharka employee told her that they were closed.... after he'd served EVERYONE else in line. She didn't even get a chance to say anything before he turned around and walked to the back. As someone who worked in the service industry for 10+ years I understand the desire to "close down" quickly at the end of the night, but this is disgraceful service for someone who arrived before closing and patiently waited in line.No ice cream is good enough to make up for horrible customer service.
Some of the best ice cream I've ever had. The nondairy chocolate is incredible. The roasted strawberry is also loaded with flavor. They also mastered the creaminess/meltiness which is a big deal in nondairy ice cream! There is hope for the lactose intolerant people of Maryland!
The customer service here is terrible. When I walked up to the register, the employee was on her phone and didn’t even acknowledge me. As for the ice cream, I don’t know why but the ice cream here was so bad and the servings were very small. I got the graham ice cream (had 0 pieces of graham in it) in a single sized cone. What they gave me would’ve been a kid sized cone at jupiters! If you want good ice cream with bigger servings for the same price, I suggest you head to Jupiter’s! They have many more flavors of the same Taharka Brothers Ice cream and better customer service. This is where I usually go but I wanted to try a new place…Don’t waste your money here.
The food is very good. The place is very clean . the staff is very customer friendly.
I perform ? every week at R. House And the service, ambience and vibe are absolutely amazing!’s over 10 different restaurants and food options a great bar and some of the best bartenders I’ve ever encountered! Very highly recommend it. Very diverse community as well!
It's been a while since I've been to this location. The ice cream is amazing and the staff is super friendly. I was so disappointed when I went up after enjoying dinner from another R House vendor and they were closing for the night. To be fair R House was actually about to close too. The person behind the counter still offered to give me a taster so I could squash the craving! It was as delicious as I remembered!
The absolutely best ice cream I have ever had, and I'm not that much of an ice cream person. But this ice cream is TO DIE FOR. I had the pistachio ice cream OMG...no other pistachio ice cream can touch it!!!!! It was on the dessert menu at a restaurant named Leelynn's in Ellicott City...they gave a huge shareable scoop. Excellent food too!!!!
Wonderful, creamy ice cream, full of flavor that is strong but not too strong. Absolutely the best! I'm excited about ice cream when I eat Taharka's every time.
The vegan ice cream that I adore is no longer offered by the scoop. The pint was very expensive. There were no dairy free or vegan options that were ready to serve. All of the pints of ice cream were hard and I could not enjoy it right away.
