Our favorite Ethiopian restaurant in Baltimore! The food is amazing and we enjoy the music!
I absolutely love this place! My boyfriend brought me here for a new and cultural experience and it was amazing. The Atmosphere was very welcoming, full of smiling faces, and our server is always pleasant. The food was great and very nourishing as a vegetarian. I highly recommend the yellow split peas and cabbage.. AND THE HOUSE Honey Wine.I really enjoyed myself.. in fact, so much that I went twice in the same weekend. Very friendly, affordable and a breath of fresh air for a dinner date.
Food is okay but the employees will make you lose your appetite. They’re unprofessional, rude and sneaky. Don’t get your food too go. I got a 5 sides platter to go for $15 and the portion in 1 small container they gave me honestly would not even be filling for a child. They literally stuffed the bread& everything in a small circle container. It was obviously intentional b/c they’ve been in business long enough to know how to properly pack and serve food. Also their attitude when I went back acting dumb. They corrected it. But I won’t be going back or recommending this place
Tabor is the best Ethiopian within the city limits. Do yourself a favor: go, relax into the slow pace of the meal, and order the Baltimore combo. Everything is good, but my favorites are the tibs and beets. My husband loves the goro wot. Whatever you have, you can't go wrong.
Was an amazing experience. Loved the food. The only reason I don’t give it a 5 stars is because it was a slow service. I mean I don’t mind waiting for my food, but they were slow for taking the order and then the check. Go with the idea of hanging out a while with friends but let me tell you the food was worthy. Will come back and recommend
This was my first time trying Ethiopian food and it was SO good. Everything had distinct and amazing flavor. Our sever was super sweet and brought us more injera (the spongy bread) when we needed it. Such a great dinner for a pretty decent price. Very satisfied customer
I really like it here, it was my first time eating ethiopian food. We ordered The Baltimore (good for 2people) and there was a lot of left over still. Very filling and i loved the injera bread. Place was spacious and had good music. This place was recommended by my coworker Yohannes who said he knew the owner of the place ? will definitely go back. I went on sunday so, i was able to find parking pretty easy
The service was excellent: one server brought me more injera when I ran out. The prices for the side dishes are excellent. I did not get much: just spicy lentils and salad. But you can't beat the amount of food you get for $3.75. And the food was tastey.I also like that they have a sink outside of the bathrooms.
1st time visiting this Restaurant from recommendation. The restaurant was not busy when we arrived at 7pm, only 1 table seated on Tuesday. Our party of 3 were seated right away upon arrival and we were seated by the kitchen doors and we ordered shortly after arriving. Another group sat behind us shortly after we arrived and a few customers came in for carry out. With only 3 tables with customers, it took over an hour for our food to be served. A little after 8:30pm we got our food, we were very pleased with the quality, the quantity and the flavor. Eventually we got our appetizers after the main course was served. Seems like one waitress ran around the entire night while the others were hanging by the bar. The guy from kitchen continually stepped out to get the waitress' help. Conclusion: Great food! Complements to the chef! This Restaurant manager needs to train the waitresses to spread out the work out between their staff and provide better tentative customer service. Giving 3 out of 5 stars.
Everything was excellent. Some of the best food I have had in a while, and great atmosphere/friendly staff. Also, I thought the prices were very reasonable, especially given how much food costs have gone up recently. Much better food here than you’ll find at many of the more expensive places in Baltimore. Also I highly recommend the honey wine… only $20 for an entire bottle
