Didn’t enjoy the vegan options. Very fried tofu, and nothing noteworthy. None of us finished our food, and it was mainly an issue with using the super fried tofu, but also, the wine list is terrible.
Never had a bad experience getting carryout from here. Always delicious! The staff are friendly and the food comes out quickly. The longest we've had to wait after placing our order is 15 minutes for pizza or calamari. Their bakery items have not disappointed either.
I came here for Mothers Day after reading all the great reviews and I was not disappointed! As others have said, the cupcakes are FABULOUS. The icing is very rich but not so sugary sweet. I got the carrot cake and birthday vanilla cupcake (not vegan, which was fine by me lol) & my Mom got a dairy free strawberry shortcake [all are pictured below]. She didn’t care too much for the icing but I liked it. The cupcake itself was so moist and flavorful I mean wow!! I can see why people get their desserts. We also got a takeout order of their vegan general Tso’s tofu with white rice and that was really good. It came out fairly quickly and even when there was a mistake at the register they were very quick to remedy it. Customer service was good, seems like a really nice place to dine in at and I would return and buy more cupcakes ! Lol. I did take off one star because no one was wearing gloves, not even when they grabbed my cupcakes. They had hand sanitizer at the front and the restaurant looked clean but I would prefer food service workers to wear gloves when handling food for the health and safety of everyone, personally.
What an awesome hideaway! Did not know this restaurant existed. Sweet treats galore. Fine wines and nice little nooks and bar seating, all in plain view. Fine wines galore. I love that they have gluten free products too and definitely will be back, bringing along my sister-in-law to sample these delectable items. Yummy yummy.
First time here and we were pleasantly surprised. Nice ambience and great food. The sauces were fabulous from the cilantro garlic with tofu, Pesto pizza, Garlic Tomato Shrimp to the Saag Shrimp, all very tasty and fresh. We will return!Only complaint was the strong smell from what they use to clean the tables or floors which was overwhelming when we walked in.
Great variety of Indian inspired dishes. Very fast and friendly service.Large variety of gluten free pastries as well.
I got a vegan chocolate raspberry dessert. It was rich, creamy, with a hint or raspberry. It was mildly sweet, which I loved. There were less vegan options than expected, but there were gluten free and regular desserts..and then a strange array of Indian food, actually more food than baked goods. ? I also wasn't a fan of the packaging. I'm not sure what theme of the restaurant is...anyway, my dessert was good.
I loved sweet 27. Having to be gluten free for two years, this place was perfect, outside of their dry cupcakes. They have the best chicken I've ever had, and it's gluten free; that's saying something. The problem came with the hair on my food. I'm plagued with having strangers hair on my food ??. The bigger problem came with me calling and telling them about the hair. A women answered. I say that because I dont remember her name. Up until that point, I'd mostly dealt with the man who was the owner. I told her what happened. She said she was sorry and asked if there was anything else she could help me with. I said, "Yes, I want a refund ". I was shocked that she asked me that. She asked me could I come back. I told her no, because she's a 20 minute drive from me, and I spent my entire lunch going there and back. And I'd already offered to send her pictures. I have kinky hair, that's not straight or black. This hair came from someone in Asia or South America. I'm a black woman, my hair doesn't work this way, and proof by picture should've sufficed. Also it was short, and could've been from a beard/mustache or pube, honestly I don't know. She lied and told me I had to wait for the owner to come back for a refund. I say lied, because after several hours of waiting and having to call back, she ended up processing the refund before the owner came back. She just decided she didn't believe me. Well sweet 27, it may have taken a while, but here's your proof. I never deleted the photo because I'd always planned on posting this review. The owner knew I was a regular and probably told her to refund me when they spoke on the phone. I don't know why she was heck bent on not believing me and making the process more difficult. I Also don't know why she didn't automatically offer a refund immediately after me telling her about the hair. Sucks that she assumed that I wasn't being honest about this; especially with the offer of proof. Don't know why'd shed make such an assumption. Also, I believe it was in the sauce, and don't know how many hairs I may have ingested. Just gross.
I love all the dietary information they have. My friend can’t have gluten and almost everything is gluten free as far as I know. They also have so many vegan options.
First time trying this place. Had high hopes because everything was gluten free but also no expectations.I ordered take out and granted I did make somewhat of a drive (1 hour total) I wasn’t as impressed by what I ordered in comparison to the menu options. I ordered a few individual desserts, a pack of muffins, and some wings. As for the desserts, they were slightly dry from what I could get, the rest was stuck to the paper icing and all. I ordered two different cupcakes and both were the sameThe wings were so-so which is my fault because I did not realize how far the place was from my home. I’m excited to try them tomorrow.I tried the muffins last because why not. They were very moist (and not in the best way) paper still stuck to most of the muffin and they were oddly wet for a muffin. Taste was great though!Overall I wouldn’t drive over an hour there and back for these items. I do appreciate the gluten free aspect though. It made me feel comfortable ordering.
