Well….. this was local to my hotel to walked in, couldn’t believe the cheapest steak was $65…. Dearer than Michelin star places in London. It’s like they don’t know if they’re a night club or a fancy steak restaurant.. DJ playing, very dark, sticky floors and tables. Odd entrances and exits hidden away. A completely bizarre experience. As someone else mentioned, it is like a place you’d see on kitchen nightmares. Toilets were gross
Excellent staff made dinner even more enjoyable. Food was excellent. Atmosphere interesting with character.
While in town for a trade show it was recommended that we try Supano's Steakhouse. We enjoyed the crab soup which was loaded with lump crab meat. I also chose the grilled shrimp appetizer which was very good. To finish off the meal a cannoli was in order. Everything i tried was quite good. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and willing to make great food suggestions. I would return to this restaurant next time I am in the area.
Casual dining atmosphere with warm, classic lighting. Orange Roughy was cooked perfectly and the lemon butter sauce was amazing. Tiramisu was rich, creamy, delicious way to finish off a great dinner. Server was easy-going, which helped us relax and enjoy the visit.
Went to Supano's and had a great time. The place wasn't super busy but the food and the service were excellent!
We went to Supanos based on the reviews and the website. The whole experience was just weird. We were let in through a back door and once inside, it was so dark that we could barely see anything. The fact that we were the only patrons should have been the cue to leave. The food was covered in everything from the kitchen that could be sliced, diced, chopped and minced. My chicken was dry and the bread was stale and as a side…they gave us Doritos cool ranch chips!! No one in our party ate their meal. We all just picked through it. I am so sorry to even write this review with all that the restaurant industry is going through right now, but the food was inedible and subpar. When we got the bill, they added a 20% fee onto it that we assumed was the tip. Having just read another review, we found out it is some kind of covid fee that goes to the restaurant and not the server. This is a super slimey way to rip off people.
We had gotten into Baltimore on July 4, expecting fireworks and more at Baltimore Harbor, but the Covid restrictions had put an end to all of that, so we put our time into meals. Supanos was around the corner from our hotel, amid a cluster of eating places. Although it advertises itself as a steak house, it also has a number of Italian food offerings on their menu. We opted for a mixed seafood for two which came with a pesto sauce. The seafood was cooked properly. The sauce was heavy handed and appeared the consistency of wallpaper paste. Add to that strips of bread with a thick garlic (and what appeared to be processed) cheese topping, and one has the making of a very overdone concept of what Italian food is about. Sorry. I like pesto, but like most things Italian, there is a need to understand that it is about simplicity and freshness, not excess. When we finished the seafood, there was still an ocean of pesto in the bowl, and chunks of cheese covered bread. The people were friendly and the service was good (when we went, there were only a few other guests…I don’t know how the service would be if the place were busy) and, to be understanding, I would point out that they had a nice selection of steaks and seafood, so perhaps we should have stayed away from the fare we chose. Still, it was on the menu. Cost of the meal, with wine, was $95
Food—The pasta was quite good. Alfredo sauce in particular was well done. Service—Waitress was kind and attentive. Spent time chatting and everything came out quickly. Value— $30 pasta course came with no bread or salad. Then the check comes and 20% was added. I asked server if this was the gratuity—which would have been ok but weird for a party of 4. She apologetically informed me that the 20% upcharge goes directly to the house and has been occurring due to Covid. I could tell this was not the first time she has faced that objection. The surcharge was not displayed or mentioned anywhere. Jacking prices 20% without telling the patron until after the meal definitely isn’t a good way of doing business. I did the right thing and tipped the server another 20% but left feeling like I was taken advantage of.
This was a quaint restaurant tucked in the corner in an older building. The restaurant is very into Frank Sinatra, they displayed Frank on a large screen singing away, but not so loud that you can't have a conversation. Service was good considering they were very short staffed for a Sunday night. The food was OK. I choose the chicken rolatini and for me the gravy was too thick. I think the server was fairly new - she did not tell us that bread came with the meal, so we ordered garlic bread, but then by the time our dinner came, she had brought out bread. I heard her tell another table that it was still in the oven. I wished we knew that or we wouldn't have ordered it separately. My other pet peeve is that a 20% tip was already included in the tab, although we were only a party of two. Then, we the server brought the bill, there was still a place to enter a tip, so if you don't review the bill carefully you are tipping twice.
I'm giving Supano's 4 stars only because Jenna was amazing! We enjoyed her fantastic attitude and great service. We had drinks there one afternoon and came back the next day late night for a pizza. The pizza was marginal only because they were were getting ready to close the kitchen. But the drinks flowed and the karaoke was going so it was fun.
