Okay so this wuz a great idea. Just got finished playing tennis in Druid Hill Park, then got famished and went for a bite after Googling sum vegan spots nearby. STEM:Farm+Kitchen popped up on the radar and the online menu looked good so I had to check it out... 'Twas bomb! Got the Rainbow Pad Thai Bowl and wuz'nt disappointed. at. all... And let's not mention the Pura Vida Bowl. All I can say is who knew you could mix Thai with Tex/Mex and still feel like you came out on top? Super fresh ingredients, and delicious as hell!!! Plus, the staff wasn't rude while I was taking a minute to deliberate over the menu options (cuz there's a bunch... it's like vegan heaven, actually; everything's 100% plant-based). Anyways, got the grub and afterwards, felt like a champ?... #winning, much? So yeah, got a nice workout in, had some laughs, sum good convo, ate sum yummy stuff and handled sum other business, all before 2pm... but I be like that sumtimes
This place sucks. Workers were very rude and disrespectful to us. We spent close to $100 on 5 bowls. Very soupy and bitter. nothing like açaí bowls we have had elsewhere. I also found a hair mine. Not even worth coming here. BRD was ten times better. Never go here such a bad experience.
I didn't realize this restaurant was one of many in a food hall. Although I wasn't expecting the atmosphere, I really enjoyed it. While you eat vegan food, your friends and family eat tons of great other things.The culiflower bowl is perfectly fried, not greasy and not heavily battered. The portion is sizeable, but the bowl only includes rice and cauliflower.The "make your own bowl" option seems better than the cauliflower bowl if you want more variety in a meal. I requested half Kale/half rice as a base, olives, broccoli, and falafel with Korean BBQ dressing. SO GOOD. They don't smother the food in sauce. Everything is fresh and it shows in the taste.We also ordered the mezzo bowl. The beet humus was good, not sweet at all, but it took up most of the bowl. Everything under the stale bread in the picture is humus. Even the stale bread was good...I left no crumb behind.
I love Stem and have typically not had much of an issue but my last two visits have been unsatisfactory... The last time I was here, I ordered a salad got there to get it and was told half of the things that go in the salad they didn't have ( if this is the case the item shouldn't have been available). Today I got a salad and the dressing for my salad is in clumps. How am I supposed to dress my salad when the dressing is in clumps? Come on guys do better and when I asked what's wrong with the dressing the attitude as if how dare I a praying customer ask why my dressing looks like this.
The food was great! This was my first visit to STEM, and I can’t believe I was sleeping on this gem! I got the pad Thai bowl. They allowed time to sub with half tofu/half falafel and it was AWESOME! Fresh, not too much or too little sauce, and the falafel were some of the most flavorful I’ve had from a non-traditional restaurant. You get a fitting portion for the money you pay, too!
The food was amazing!!! Staff were friendly, and provided excellent service!
I absolutely can’t wait to eat here again I have heard so many good things and my mouth is watering from the food already! The place is so clean too!!! The Mac and cheese is dank!!! And the Philly cheesesteak
Had the chocolate ? shake. Medicinal naturally. Enjoyed up. Made with intelligence.
Don’t bother with this place. I wasted a ridiculous amount of time for two juices while gloveless and maskless employees wandered around aimlessly, shuffled around vegetable containers, and used their cell phones. Then, they slammed my drinks down on the counter without so much as an apology.
The food is great, especially the Pura Vida bowl and the cauliflower. I get food from here a couple times a month and it’s really consistently good quality fresh food. The problem is that they are unreliable with their posted hours and you can’t trust what they post on social media about when they will be open, even if it’s about the same day.
