The people behind the counter were rude and short. The noodles seemed like they had been sitting all day. The beef was flavorless and they wouldn’t add more sauce, then they wouldn’t give me a cup for the sriracha. Literally anywhere else in this mall would be a better place to go. ??
Food was ok , but the customer service is terrible they are very disrespectful! Won’t be back
Sarku Japan in Security Mall, Baltimore, MD charges costumers an extra .50 cents for food that they are not receiving, WITHOUT prior consent. At Sarku Japan, customers are supposed to have the option of ordering brown or fried rice. Otherwise, they receive the regular white rice. However, the Security Mall Sarku Japan charges ALL customers an extra .50 cents any time they order a meal that includes rice, and lists it as "fried" rice on the receipt, when the customer did not request fried rice, and the rice is plain white rice with soy sauce mixed in it.When I realized that I was being charged an extra .50 cents, I asked that the extra charge for the brown rice be removed, and paid my bill. Unbeknownst to me, the cashier deducted one meal, not just the .50 cents charge. When my meals were ready, I took the two meals that I ordered, and waited for the rest of my food to be prepared. When I finally asked for the rest of my order, the cooks told me that I had not paid for the 2nd meal and asked to see my receipt, when I told them that I did. When I showed one of the cook's my receipt, he pointed out that I had only been charged for one meal that still included the .50 cents charge that I asked be removed, as well as the other items that he was withholding until I paid for the 2nd meal. I had three small hungry children with me who had already started eating, so I felt obligated to pay, as they caused a scene, like I tried to take a free meal without paying. Then, as I paid for the 2nd meal, I saw that I was again charged an extra .50 cents for this "fried" rice that I never received, nor requested. By this time, I was mortified by the scene that they caused over their error, and did not want any further confusion to be displayed in front of the kids.As I waited for the charge to go through, I asked a customer standing behind me, if the white rice with soy sauce on it, which was the only rice available, was what they were calling fried rice, and he responded, "yes" with a frown. I too frowned in disgust as I realized that I and every other person in line, was being cheated out of our hard earned money. This happened during Christmas Break 2021. Though I will never patronize that Sarku Japan again, all I can think of is all of the additional money that they are cheating people out of without their permission by ringing up that extra .50 cent charge for plain brown colored white rice that they are listing as "fried" rice on patrons receipts, without making people aware FIRST that they are going to being charged.
I visit this location often and purchase the Teriyaki Chicken double meat always. The boys/men that prepare the food are arrogant and seriously don't listen to the people that are paying them for their food. I wish they were more polite to the people they're taking money from m.
I usually love this place but today I ordered from uber eats and everything tasted burnt. The sauce was nasty chicken and shrimp burnt. Very disappointed
Food is great. Customer service is too
