My review is solely focused on how sandlot changed from pre-pandemic / pre-construction. As everyone has noted, the space is smaller, but I was impressed by the design and how well compact the tables, seating, and volleyball nets were. It wasn’t overwhelming, it was just vibes right. Great place to view the fireworks and catch sail boats sail by.As others have noted, drinks are expensive here. Pre-pandemic the $18 cocktail was HUGE and worth it, now it is so small it is a rip off. And yesterday I attend for 4th of July and I don’t know if it was due to this or usual, but they automatically add a 15% tip on each order, which I think is unfair, people should have the choice to tip as much as they want for their drinks.Speaking of drinks, there was no provision of free water. Even though water bottles were allowed in, there was no tap-water station or water bottle refilling station. Instead, I was being convinced to buy $7 distilled water?! Any restaurant has to provide water with alcohol and Sandlot should do the same.Lastly, there was good music but it was bit bothersome that the speakers didn’t sync. You can stand at a spot and find yourself listening to two different songs which didn’t vibe. All in all, sandlot has changed, for better but unfortunately for worse. Sandlot should listen to consumer’s feedback to improve a gem that is loved by Baltimoreans and beyond.
Great open set up. Went on a Saturday afternoon and was not crowded. I was surprised because it was opening weekend.Cost $5 to get in but it included a cup of the pre made cocktail.Only drinks really available are the premixed ones and some high noon white claw type of dealsMusic was good in the sand area but they had elevator music going toward the food truck.Def a nice outdoor spot cute for date night or hanging with friends.
I appreciate the opening. $5 cover but welcome drink. Much smaller than before but what can they do with the land development taking over. Hopefully they can expand the music selection a bit more. Had a pizza place on site. Cool to take your kids
When we first got there it was $10 to get in, they gave us a drink which was nice because it was very hot, but as we walked to the main seating area it wasn’t many places for shade and no where to sit or where it was it was blazing hot sun. There also was kids running around which confused me because I thought it was a 21 and over Venue. Nonetheless I see potential for place if they just add more shade and seating, it would be perfect if they had a sand bar

We enjoyed the old sandlot. I understand the space had to be taken away, but the drinks before were bigger and stronger for cheaper. We weren’t tricked with a 15% service charge. And we weren’t charged a $5 cover charge to get into the sandlot. We were actually able to enjoy sandlot and the water. We will not be back here unfortunately unless they change this system
Great set up. Easy for parking or walk up. Food trucks and drink shacks. Great views of the bay. Dj was pretty good. Family and pet friendly. Gem of baltimores inner harbor.
We came here on a Monday night. A storm hit and we got drenched but still managed to have a good time after the sun came back out. Swings, beach volleyball, and there was even a dance class going on Drinks are pricey but they're HUGE, served in a deli container. Staff was friendly! No bathrooms - you'll have to hold it or brave the porta potties All in all not a bad spot to sit outside
We had a great time with two small children. Staff was super friendly and food was good even though a small menu. Having a dedicated parking lot is also a huge plus. Will definitely be back!
Nice place. Accessible with plenty of parking (paid). Food and drink for sale.$$ There are courts with nets( volleyball), swing set. You can bring chairs, blankets to sit and enjoy the harbor. Music and DJ at times.
