Hellooo!!! Just tried the crab creamy soup which was delicious and full of crab. This soup can be double or triple price in a restaurant!!
Everything that I had was excellent. The crab chowder was creamy with good chunks of crab. The crab pretzel was something new for me but very rich and delicious. The crab cake had big chunks of crab and was fried perfectly.
First when I called the young man answered the phone with a "hello"? I had no Idea I was calling a business and wasn't pleasant at all. I get there at 6:45pm and ordered porgy fish and he tells me " we only doing filet because we put the fish away " I was highly upset because they don't close till 8pm and I drove 45 min to get there. So I left and went across the street to chop and it was absolutely delicious.
Try the salmon and vegetables with garlic salt and pepper and I get a little Old Bay on mine :-). Carlos makes sure everything tastes amazing every time!
Crab cakes: full of actual crab flavor, but light & fluffy, not like most Baltimore crab cakes which are overrated & weighed down with oil – these are the best crab cakes I've had in Baltimore in the last 4 years.Sautéed vegetables: fresh, flavorful and not overcooked.Atmosphere: chill, non-pretentious, a break from the tragic tourist melee a couple blocks down. Have a nice glass of wine at the bar in the middle of the market and eat your delicious seafood from Sal's there.
I don't have words to describe how happy I was to find this market and Sal's. This crab cake was spot on - fresh, almost all crab, and delicatly seasoned. We enjoyed getting to talk to Salvador at our little table his kindness and passion showdx through. Clearly he has learned how to do many global fish interpretations from sushi to crab cakes. The key for him is fresh. We had crab cake, crab pretzel (breaks all the rules), and fish and chips.
They have great seafood. My husband and I get the red snapper fried and shrimp basket. Simply delicious! I also that they have old bay, hot sauce and other condiments to use.
Delicious and fresh. One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Most definitely worth a visit. Loved it.
Great place to eat fish. Calamari was great. The crab cake was ok - but too much bread, not enough crab.
Great crab soup! I enjoyed the 50/50 mix of Maryland and cream. Yummy
