We had my bridal shower here and the entire staff was amazing!!! We had a venue cancel on us last minute and the owner, Jim could not have been nicer or more accommodating for what we wanted. They allowed us to have the entire event area upstairs - which is STUNNING, as well as allowed us to create a more customized brunch and signature menu. The drinks were fabulous, the staff was super friendly, and the food was also delicious. We can't recommend Red Star enough! We will absolutely have another event here in the future.

NBA Finals Food Food Great Atmisphere Delicious drinks ?

We really enjoyed our visit here. The brussel sprout appetizer is outstanding! They have a light balsamic honey drizzle on them and it was surprisingly delicious on the brussel sprouts. The margherita pizza is good. The Caesar salad is a very large portion, a little heavy on the dressing but otherwise good. The appetizer portico fries are a large portion as well. Service was friendly and the atmosphere is nice. We walked over from our hotel, so it was very easy to get to, but I could see how parking could be an issue for someone driving in. We would definitely return when in the area and recommend.

It's a gorgeous location with decent drink and a menu/prices that doesn't quite know what it wants to be. Both times I've visited, the bartender kept trashing it's competition across the street, claiming unlike them they don't water down their drinks only to serve what I would consider a weak and watery negroni. Maybe she was new, it wasn't bad, but the trashing of other businesses clearly stood in for lack of competency behind the bar. The house cocktails are "just okay" for 13-14 dollars each and if anything are lackluster compared to those found across the street for less. You could do worse in Fells, you can do better.Food wise the menu is pasta/pizza/pub fair with a small handful of vegan and GF options, but was largely overpriced for what it was and under delivered in taste and quality relative to its competition in Fells. Since they're so interested in measuring against their competitors, it's a less imaginative menu than ATs, for more money, with less GF/vegan options. Again, food was "just okay" especially given the wealth of options around. The redeeming qualities are the locale itself and the pretty good wine selection, with happy hour deals that seem pretty good. The space itself is lowly lit, with beautiful brickwork and exposed ceiling joists. Great bar to sit at and chat or plan a date around, but nothing else really elevates the place.

Visiting for a second time! Overall a good experience! The food was hot and well made. I wish prices were a bit lower for it however, similar to the drinks for the quality of food and type. I didn't see a huge difference with the menu from other restaurants. We had a large group of 8 visiting and they were very accommodating by calling ahead. The bar chairs are very heavy to move and adjust, still not a deal breaker. Servers were nice, a bit confusing when explaining the split of the bill upfront before the party arrived. But she was great in checking on us and returning when needed.

We had the best dinner! Soup to nuts. The pizza is 10/10. Donna took care of us from start to finish. The bachelorette party loved the whole experience.

We visited Red Star for Sunday brunch. Our server Donna was wonderful! Unfortunately the food was pretty bad. The eggs were cold, the bacon was undercooked, and the bread used for the French toast was stale and they used plain sandwich bread to make French toast. It was probably the worst French toast presentation I have ever seen. We will give Redstar another try but just for cocktails when we are in Fells point.

We were seated right away and given water. No one came by for the next 20 minutes. When I flagged down a server, we were told there was a miscommunication as to Who would take our order. Orders were taken but the place seemed to be understaffed. The food was good, the drinks were good. It was understaffed.

Terrible service.
