Bad service! The boss is sssssso rude!!! No manners at all! Shouting at me while I was trying to make a reservation for my friend's treat. If my friend hadn't sent all his invitations, I would strongly suggest him not to book this horrible place! And it turns out that the food are just as bad as his boss' temper. All the dishes are too salty! Plus, the dishes are just ingredients mixed with sauce which everyone could easily buy from any Asian markets. Please! Just don't pretend your food is great. Because it is absolutely not!!! If your restaurant is in China, ... Oh! I am so sorry! It won't happened because Not A Single Person there could stand this unpalatable fake chinese food! 菜太咸,米太硬,所有的调味料明显是超市随处可见的酱料。另外,厨师的刀功不敢恭维,还有老板,请问你的礼貌呢?!谁给你的底气跟前来预定的客人大小声?!

So sad I discovered this take out place one week before moving from Baltimore. This place is so good! We only ordered off their Szechuan menu but everything we got was superb: Dan Dan noodles, Mapo Tofu, Szechuan Spicy Dry Pot (Chicken), green beans, and dumplings. I was so impressed and hope years of good success for this business!

Yummy authentic Chinese food. The Chicken with Szechuan Pepper (#117) is a must try! Dishes come with a side of hot rice. Owners are friendly. I don't think I could eat this all the time because it can be on the oily and salty end of things (and also cost is on higher end), but if I'm looking to satisfy a Chinese food craving, this is the place I'm going!

The best Lamb with Cumin I ever had (despite the preponderance of onion), and the absolute worst dumpling soup I have ever eaten (the actual dumpling pasta is not right). The hot and sour soup was mediocre. I will be back for the lamb though! So very tasty!

In pre-pandemic times, this little restaurant on the edge of Johns Hopkins University bustled with Chinese-speaking students. It has somehow endured a rough couple of years. During that period we regularly ordered carryout. Today was a our first dine-in experience and while we were few, we were treated well. Unlike most Baltimore Chinese restaurants, Orient caters to those from or familiar with Mainland China cuisine, with a huge and varied menu. We had wonderful, filling beef and noodles in a rich broth, hot and sour soup, crab wontons and flaky spring rolls. It is a modest place. You pour your own tea (and it is free). No beer or wine.

5 star chinese for Baltimore. Best "authentic like" Chinese food in the city IMO. Same owner and basic menu as Red Pepper in Towson. I am a Chinese food fanatic growing up in New York City, traveling alot to the west coast (Many times gorging at mutliple restaurants in San Francisisco) and living in Montgomery County for a long time which has incredible Chinese regional food. This would be a 3-4 star any of those places , but i am desperate. Order from their Sichuan menu. Their cumin lamb and fish dishes are excellent. I like the fish better. Fish with pudding and mapo tofu also recommended sour canbage fish fillet soup and Chengdu noodles are also favorites. Restaurant is not attractive. It is classic "Ugly delicious,"

consistent and delicious. the spicy eggplant and peanut noodles are great veggie options, the wonton soup is among the best in Baltimore. This business worked sooo hard during Covid, and we should support a neighborhood gem

Disgusting. I was ordering through DoorDash and found insects in the food.

Great Chinese takeout. Best of our dinner: veggie fried rice, orange chicken, and dumplings.

I ordered online and they charged me 6% for credit card, the prices listed are for cash only !!! I ordered a chicken dish, there were only 3 pieces mostly crusted dry chicken. Interestingly they provide me with a plastic bag which is panned in Baltimore. This place used to be good, now it should be avoided...last time there...
