A quaint little gem tucked away on a quiet street corner, this cafe dishes up satiating and savory breakfast fare at a reasonable price point. They have an easy kiosk for self-ordering with a card, the bathroom was clean, well-stocked, and with soap and great warm & hot water for hand washing, their staff was friendly.Their staff was friendly, and let me bring my folded-up bicycle inside. There is some good bicycle parking here in the form of sign poles, although they could use a staple rack or two on one of the sidewalks.I had a chicken, egg & potato breakfast burrito with jack cheese & salsa fresca, and a refreshing black iced tea.You can dine in (May of 2022) and enjoy good air conditioning and heating, or enjoy sidewalk seating.
Good coffee and good food! The only complaints I have are that the employees are often unmasked and that they took the plátanos con queso off the menu. The coffee is even better than it was before the menu rehaul, though, so that keeps me coming back.
Iffy tortillas, watery chicken salad, I used to like this place a lot and I plan on coming back eventually but something's different. Atmosphere is still nice.
Really great food, vegan and vegetarian options. I particularly find their breakfast sandwich affordable and delicious. I pop in and out about 3 times a week for a cup of coffee and am always greeted by a smile and a friendly atmosphere. On the Hill is truly a great neighborhood spot!
THIS IS THE MOST COZY CAFE SO CHILL AND A VIBE IF YOU WILL. THE FOOD IS SOOOOOO SOOOO GOOD AND DELICIOUS PERFECT PLACE TO TAKE YOUR FAMILY AND DOG TOO. AND THE MUSIC THEY PLAY IS POGGERS
A nice space to work, meet and eat. The food tasted good and the service was good too. It's not too nig inside bit parking around is a good plus.
Glad to see it back up and running. Missing some of the fun vibe from the before times, but hope that will return as well.
On the Hill used to be the most incredible cafe in Baltimore. The best food, the best prices. I ate there at least once per week. Unfortunately, now they have changed their menu to overly expensive and totally unappealing pseudo Mexican food. WHY?!?!?! WHY DID YOU HAVE TO CHANGE!?!?! I have zero interest in returning to the new and poorly reimagined On the Hill Cafe. None of my friends are interested in going. At this point it's just a matter of time until they permanently go out of business because their new menu is absolute trash. My heart broke when they changed their menu and I'm very disappointed and bitter at the owners for making this totally stupid decision. If they brought back their old menu, I would be eating there every other day, but I have zero interest in their not-even-real-Mexican burritos and etc, so I will not be returning to On the Hill. ?
Quality is great and a refreshing change for the neighborhood. Only reason its not getting 5 stars is that they put sour cream on everything. And as far as I can tell, there's no way to change that. No number to call to specify orders and no way to do it with the app. They only seem to have one person working there and they're usually way too busy!
Last time I've been here was maybe 2 years ago before covid. I was then The Chairperson to my daughter's headstart. So me and some of the policy representatives would stop here and have breakfast/lunch maybe 2 or 3 times a week. Now that covid is semi over and schools are back in session. While dropping my daughter of to My Royal. I think of all the amazing memories I've had here. However in the morning it never looks as if anyone is there or planning on opening the shop. That was until last night while trick or treating.I notice two young ladies emerging from the shop as if they were closing. Which made me so happy to see a live person there. So we stopped I decided to inquire about their business hours. I ask the one young lady who was closer to the door. I said Hello, What time do you open? Then young lady pointed to the closed sign. As if I couldn't see that, I mean the lights were off. I said you know what nevermind and walked away. I thought that was rather Rude. I will not patronize this business again.I honestly believe customers service workers should be more hospitable. If you are unable to answer simple questions such as business hours. Maybe this isn't the job for you.Let's also take it a little further what if I couldn't Read?? Does this change the dynamic of the situation? People should keep in mind tharlt everyone is not like themselves what maybe a simple solution for you is not simple for other's.
