I'm so happy I stumbled upon this place. I was out heading to lunch, sitting at a stop light, looked to my right and saw a sign for Nick's Rotisserie. I quickly pulled over to check them out. It's a spacious place, I was the only person in the restaurant at noon. I ordered the 1 piece leg meal with Mac and Cheese and Collard Greens. All meals come with 2 sides and a corn muffin.The wings looked scrumptious, I'm not sure why I chose the leg meal over the wings but when I return I'll do the wings as my meat. The collard greens were seasoned with no meat but taste amazing good. So good! The Mac and cheese was also a winner. The portion size of the side dishes were nice, had enough to eat later for dinner. The corn muffin was sweet like I like my cornbread but dry. Still edible and enjoyable. Next time I'm trying the candied yams.In addition to rotisserie chicken, Nick's also sells BBQ ribs and sub sandwiches. I predict Nick's will be one of my go to spots for lunch because it's so close to my job. Score!
My grandfather used to go to Nick's back in the 1950s, and although the restaurant has changed so much, and they no longer sell the cold cut subs he once loved, I took him here last summer and we got cheese-steaks. He loved reminiscing and he loved the sub. Unfortunately, he passed away in December but, I'm glad he was able to come here and talk about the old days, smile, look at the building and enjoy the good food one last time. Thank you.
Nicks has the best chicken, I go here often. A little expensive but worth it. The sweet potatoes are to die for.
Overall I've had a good experience with this establishment over the last two years. There rotisserie and friend chicken wings and corn muffins are good, I do not care for their sides.Previous encounters prior to this year were with an early middle aged woman, her customer service was always great. She greeted you, inquired about your day, wished you a good day.This year they have a young lady who works the front. She is lacks customer service skills, which sadly is a trait of most young people these days. I placed an order over the phone, when I walked in, I was the only customer in the store. There was no acknowledgement, she was busy packing grub hub orders. After a minute or two she acknowledged me and noted she would be with me in a second. I informed her I placed a chicken box order over the phone. She reinstated she would be with me in a second.She placed my chicken box on the counter, I informed her I would like condiments on my food. In a hurried fashion she informed me it was too late. I inquired how, as I have not touched the box or the food, as it's just sitting on the counter. She noted she had already taped the box up. There is one piece of scotch tape that is holding the box close. I inform her it's not too late and ask for condiments to be placed on my food. She quickly takes the box and puts condiments on my food. However, I could tell from a distance she barely put anything on there. When I opened the box, my suspicion was correct. I'm not one of those who needs my food smothered in ketchup, but when I tell you she put one squirt of kitchen on my food for smartness, that's exactly what it was. I asked to be waited on by someone else.She informed me she was the only person that could wait on me with head motions and eye batting. When I entered the store there was a gentleman in the back, so I spoke loud enough to request that someone else come to the front. The gentleman was very polite and inquired how he could help. I informed him of request and it was granted.I always try to support local black business, however, poor customer service is a pet peeve of mine. All I did was request some condiments on my food.
Rotisserie chicken very tender favorable sticky and really good...sides were tasty and i had a side of sweet yams...I visited today..First timer....I shall return...ps .....chicken so good ....no need for sauce...
Great customer service and even better food. I just wish the corn bread muffins were bigger. But I would definitely recommend their food.
Delicious. Real Mac and cheese. Bomb collard greens. And of course the chicken is amazing.
a delicious meal! chicken and the fries were perfectly cooked and crispy on the edges. the corn muffin was perfect and I regret not buying another one. I'll definitely order again
I purchased raw chicken from Nick’s ? I still Have the half eaten wing I’m on my way to E.R! I am Suing Nick’s For Food Poisoning!
