First time back here in a while and it didn’t disappoint. My friend and I came in on a Saturday night for some food and drinks at the main bar downstairs. We shared the spicy mussels. They were incredible. I would drive here just for these. I had the steak sandwich, and it was very good. My friend was also very pleased with his fried oyster tacos. The bartender was very nice and the service was fair. One thing that caught my eye while sitting at the bar was the condition of the front beer coolers. They were in dire need of cleaning. I don’t want to drag an otherwise nice place, but I want to be honest.Anyway, definitely go down for a meal or meet friends here for happy hour, or whenever you please, haha. This place is a staple of Baltimore!
Great bar- downstairs and upstairs! Food is American style and pub food. Parking accessible on street, light rail parking as well. Their burger s are amazing!
First time back in 8 years. Atmosphere is always fun, cocktails are very good. These two factors alone will keep you coming back. The food?Small wings, Oysters Rockefeller were watery and oysters stuck to shell. The Smash burger Pattie’s were small, looked lack luster and waitress didn’t ask how you would like it cooked. In no way a $25.00 burger. Have dinner elsewhere and come for the fun, drinks and an appetizer. Very pricey for food quality.
Wow, what a truly incredible experience with this restaurant. I hosted a bridal shower in the Pimlico Room and what a huge success. Our waiter was incredible, the room is very spacious, there is was an elevator, the food was wonderful, planning my event here was truly stressless, the MT Washington team was wonderful to work with!
Our group has gone a few times for Brunch and we keep returning! The bottomless mimosas were GREAT. Food was good! Our servers, as usual, were attentive, nice and ready!
What an awesome experience! The restaurant/tavern looks great, and the upstairs is fun and well staffed. The food was outstanding. I was out with a coworker and visited for lunch. First, let me say,, Shanny was our server,, and she was terrific, and she made our visit wonder.. We ordered the calamari as an appetizer and it was cooked perfectly. It was a huge plate full of tasty food. I ordered a Ruben sandwich with fries, and it was delicious. It was a large portion and had the right balance of all of the ingredients. My fries were crispy and the bleu cheese dressing was out of this world. My coworker had the Tavern Burger, and she ordered it cooked medium, and the Tavern staff nailed it! She also had the sweet potato fries that were tasty and crispy. As I mentioned earlier, Shanny was awesome, and a big reason I will be back!
My first visit there tonight. My overall experience was very good on food and customer service. I had the Tavern Burger and fries. I get my burger well done because I am not cooking it myself. I was happy it was not very well done and dried out. Fries were crispy and hot. Waiter checked on us several times. Thanks.
I recently hosted a bridal shower here in the Pimlico Room. Everything from the planning and working with the event coordinator, Mary to the event itself, was wonderful. They are very easy to work with, the staff was awesome, and the food and drinks were amazing. All the guests raved over how great the lunch buffet was and how beautiful the room looked! There was a small miscommunication but they were apologetic and worked with me to resolve the issue quickly!I am really glad I chose Mt. Washington Tavern to host my party and I would 100% have future parties and events here! Thank you so much for making this party so memorable for the bride to be!
This is where we celebrate our family birthdays. We were unsure about our welcome but once seated the service was excellent. Is very friendly and personable and willing to make accommodations. The food is always tasty and servings are generous.
had the best server...very patient and very quick
