The food is top notch here. The sweet and savory combinations of flavors are on point, especially with the chicken and waffles. It's the place to go in the Inner Harbor for breakfast or brunch.

Fortunately I was able to order take out being that it was a bit packed, looking like a long wait as well. Their Fried Green tomatoes (featured in Southern Living magazine) were incredibly delicious. Their Maryland Crab Soup(Featured on the food network Diner Drive Ins & Dives T.V. show) was impeccably delicious as well. Their Strawberry Lemonade was also very refreshing, tart and tasty. I tried their Spring into Summer Salad with cucumbers, tomatoes, corn, feta etc and it was unique and filling. My kids enjoyed their strawberry pancakes and chocolate chip pancakes.Their staff were extremely tentative, hospitable and kind. Looking forward to seeing you all again soon! Keep up the great work and thank you!

This place may have been better if we didn’t wait an hour and a half to be seated (not their fault that they’re popular). The mimosas were good and fried green tomatoes were bland but a good texture. The gravy train southern skillet would’ve been amazing if the chicken wasn’t cold and dry. All of the components, separately, were good but because there were so many chicken strips it was what stood out most about the dish. It had potential.

I took a friend here for breakfast for her first visit to Baltimore. I ordered a coconut buttercream French toast, egg and potatoes and she ordered a vegetable omelet. The food was delicious with generous portion sizes. There’s indoor and outdoor seating. This restaurant in near many other attractions like the aquarium, the harbor and shopping area. I will definitely come again!

Miss Shirley's was high on our list of places to visit in Baltimore, and it did not disappoint. Service was great, drinks were good and the food was top notch.Everything was great, but the hot honeyfried chicken deviled eggs are simply a must-try!

This is an award winning restaurant. It was quite busy when we went. It is advisable to make a reservation. We had been there for brunch and the food was amazing! We loved everything that we ordered except the fried chicken which seemed a little dry. They have outdoor seating as well and on the walls they have all the awards won and famous people who visited the place. The guest service is great! Everyone is super friendly and helpful.

Fantastic Louisiana and southern inspired brunch and breakfast place. The biscuits and gravy omelette is great, so is the upside down pineapple pancake. Service is awesome, our server Brandon recommended some off the menu items which were spectacular. This breakfast place is worth a drive. The location on the waterfront is nice. Moderate wait to sit, and generous portions.

The food was just mediocre I ordered the cubano sandwich and the meat inside was super salty the hash browns were pretty crunchy on outside but soft and tasty. The egg scramble was terrible. You can hardly see any eggs, just a plate full of steamed vegetables. The Sammy sandwich was tasty and filling. The gluten-free pancake did not taste good at all and was dry and tasteless. The orange crush was the highlight it just tasted like orange juice and was decorated nicely. It hardly had any alcohol. All in all, we felt that the food was just mediocre. We don't know why this restaurant was rated so high when the food was not tasty at all.

Absolutely the most overrated, over-hyped, overpriced breakfast we've had on this vacation. In Baltimore to eat and drink our way through the Charm City, we thought we'd hit up a few Food Network visited establishments. Arrived at Miss Shirleys promptly as they opened the doors, seated immediately but then waited 10 minutes for waitstaff to acknowledge us and finally offer coffee. The menu looks and sounds delicious. The food arrived and it was lackluster. Fried green tomatoes were under seasoned and greasy. The hash brown potatoes were not browned, a pasty white cold shredded potato with bits of onion was served. The "Country's BEST" pancakes were also cold and "meal-ly", Id say they were similar to the potatoes, anemic and undercooked. Even this Northerner can make decent creamy grits from scratch, maybe Miss Shirley should be introduced to some cream and a whisk because the grits were pasty and cold. Definitely not a $65.00 breakfast. Maybe it was a bad day for the kitchen but, its breakfast! It's not rocket science.

This is not my first time at Miss Shirleys cafe so I had an idea of what to expect. They do change their menu out seasonally so I was pleasantly surprised by some of the new choices. The honey hot fried chicken deviled eggs for one are super delicious! Who knew you could deep fry egg whites like that lol My omelet was also really good; just shrimp and veggies in there. My mimosa has a slight kick as well and overall this brunch gave me the itis. Great atmosphere and you’re sure to find something you like on their menu. Can’t wait to return. Keep up with my travels/experiences on Instagram @wherezmay :)
