They really put on for my cuz bday. I will always appreciate the luv they showed. Drinks was hitting and music live!!!!
Came on a Monday evening during the happy hour the music was good very chill vibe however the food was disgusting … the French fries tasted like old fish grease , the chicken was under cooked and the fish had no seasoning … not worth the money .. the food made me feel sick afterwards and no i didn’t have any drinks .. my husband had Paton margaritas and he said they were very good and strong thanks to the bartender Sabrina ..
I always make the best of my outing. They just need to change the music. Shameful when folks know when house music coming on.
Melba's Place friendly lounge with Great African American History, Great food, drinks, music, and very nice people! The bar tenders know how to make drinks! Me and my friends drive from DC just to be in a different environment. Melba's is one of our go to parties! Thanks Melba's Place ?❤

My daughter took me and my bestie to Melba's on May 8th a Saturday night for mother's day. We were dressed very nicely in evening wear and the young lady taking the money tried everything in her power to turn us away. At first she said my daughter couldn't wear flats!! That's right you read that correctly. My daughter had on a nice comfortable pear of flats and she waited until we had passed temp checks, security scan, purse checks, to say flats we're allowed. We go back to the car and she changed into boots with a heel and again the lady waited until we passed all scannings and got to the back only to call us back up front to get one of their masks instead of allowing us to wear the masks we had in our purse. I used to love Melbas but if the door person going to be mean to patrons for no reason. I won't be back and I will spread the word to others that flat shoes and personal mask aren't allowed.
