Mussel / clam appetizer very small for the price - third the size & double the price as another Italian up the road where I ate the night before
Our server was very nice but we felt to food was a disappointment. Spent $70 on 3 appetizers and a cocktail which was very expensive for the amount/quality of what we actually received.
Great warm welcome and service but not enough staff making the experience feel slower than it should. Food was very enjoyable. We had a party of six and each tried different dishes. No complaints, definately compliments, bruschette and goat cheese were terrific, overall better than expected!
Party of 12 w 3 children --service was outstanding . Food was average-chicken parm same quality you d find at a chain italian restairant. risotto was not creamy or seasoned well. Buratta app was very nice Nice to have vegan offerings and ability to make reservation Wine list was varied but very overpriced. Will check out another spot next time in little Italy
Food was good. Service was terrible. After taking our order the server was not seen again until he delivered our meals. And then did not check on us again. I had to go to the host station to request the check after we finished eating. All of the waters and soft drinks on the table were empty for at least twenty minutes. Fortunately we had some water with us. So we were able to drink from our personal water bottles. (We were eating at one of the outside tables. So service probably would have been better inside. But if they arenât going to actually serve people eating outside, that shouldnât be an option.)
Food was wonderful. Location is perfect to the Aquarium- which is where we were before our reservations. I would highly recommend La Tavola to anyone!
The neighborhood has alot of italian restaurants, pick a different one. It's expensive for ordinary food. Our friend ordered the pasta bolonese and received 2 small bowls, one with the sauce the other with the pasta. He requested more pasta but I don't know if he paid extra. He asked for meatballs but the owner scoffed, they don't serve meatballs in Italy. It's a very limited menu. The owner is arrogant and he doesn't care if he offends.
We had delicious pasta at this friendly neighborhood place. Thoroughly enjoyable!
Really friendly staff. Very responsive and aim to please. However, the food just wasn’t up to par. We ordered salad with goat cheese, mussels and the “spicy” linguini with seafood combo. The salad, mussels and bread were ok. I prefer a crustier bread and this was soft. Salad was overdressed and underwhelming. The tomato sauce for the seafood dish literally had no taste. The shrimp was over cooked and the dish was blah. Too bad as we wanted to like this joint. The cannolis were good but slightly soggy.
Our experience at this restaurant was wonderful Overall the quality of service was top notch with individualized care, particularly for my grandson who has an egg allergy. He was provided with a delicious "non-egg" pasta that he declared to be "amazing." The rest of us fully enjoyed our meals as well from the diverse menu. The homemade flavors came through in all aspects of the meal. Delightful experience--will return next time we are in Baltimore!
