Came here in May for a special dinner with my spouse. Loved everything about this place. Delicious plates, from single size ranging all the way up to shareable dishes. Great friendly, attentive staff, eager to make your dining experience wonderful . Modern decor with high ceilings (converted from a warehouse). The menu changes daily at this restaurant (try everything….you won’t be disappointed.
We ate her for dinner and enjoyed everything we had. From the bread to the croquets to the soft shell crab, cheese plate and paella. Everything was very good. Service was also good. Dessert was also great. Cant go wrong with anything on the menu.
Excellent and authentic Basque food! A hidden jewel in Baltimore City!
This place has never once disappointed. There is so much goodness on the menu, the hospitality and service (thanks Jae) are top notch. The crispy eggplant was one of my favorite dishes and we got the wood grilled pork chop for our children to share and we could help but stealing the melt in your mouth meat and the delightful turnips and cabbage paired with it. We ordered many more exceptional dishes. And do not skip dessert because they are beyond decadent and worth every bite especially the Chocolate Sorbet and spiced chocolate flan.
Amazing food and spirits! Lovely atmosphere. Incredibly kind and welcoming staff. The head baker is phenomenal! She knows her breads and desserts. The flavors her foods create in your mouth are off the charts!
best happy hour in town! even right now with the bar finally reopening after two years and no HH food specials yet...it's still my favorite happy hour. the complimentary incredible housemade breads + soft salted butter, a drink and snacks is a perfect visit at La Cuchara. it's also run by the nicest people- and to me, nice matters. especially now. highly recommend!
It's the first time I've been here in many years. Didn't disappoint. Still amazing food. Went for the cassoulet, incredible. Hopefully will go back soon. PS, on Sunday nights, 1/2 price on all wines over $100. Amazing time to try some terrific wines with amazing food.
I just left and I am speechless. What has historically been a lovely experience was not. We arrived and were told that there wasn’t any bar seating. I felt like I was being scolded for even asking. Ok no problem we will take a table. The lighting felt like I was in an operating room. Absolutely no ambiance. We were seated and our sever arrived. She was as unfriendly as a person could be. She asked if we wanted something other than water to drink and i laughed and said “It’s happy hour. Yes we do”. Her immediate response was “We don’t do happy hour.” I literally meant the time frame not a discount menu. She was abrupt and kept taking our menus even though we asked her to leave them as we intended to order in waves. She never asked if we wanted any more wine. She never asked if we wanted another course. She just asked if we wanted our check. We took the hint and asked for the check. She brought it to us and explained that the gratuity had already been added. A 22% tip. We normally tip more than that but my ire at incredibly poor service coupled with a 22% tip was too much for me to take. The food was lovely and the two bus people were incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome. But this server absolutely ruined our experience. We won’t be back.
Great service and beautiful space. Could have tasted about everything on the menu. Didn't even make it to the entrees as all the various small bites were so delicious and unique. Both wine flights were great pairings and made everything seem more approachable.
This is one of my favorite Baltimore restaurants. We have always been treated so well by the staff, and the manager, Mike, goes out of his way to make us feel welcome at every visit. We LOVE all their food and the wine selection is fantastic.
