Been going here since 2013 The long reach location in Columbia. Number 1 Nigerian cuisine
The food is very Good. I love the Efo-Riro &Fufu Combo
I ordered the okra soup with fufu they get one star because the guy who answered the phone was nice . I called at 6 PM to order my food after he took my order he let me know what time they would be close by I expressed to him that I would be there by 6:30 got there I still had to wait for my food because I was told there is no turkey which he told me I could get with my okra soup. Everything wAs nasty and oily overly salted .. So I figured out what they did when the food was picked up the wait was because of the fact that she went in the back took out meat from a different soup that was in the freezer and served it with my hot soup .. like I wouldn’t know the difference .. whatever food The meat was inAlso was in my soup ., so it was almost like I ordered two soups in one but the taste weren’t going well together …. I took one bite and went right across the street to the seven 11 and threw the food away .. this is the second time I’ve ordered from here and had the same experience . The meat both of them they threw in my soup were frozen in the middle . You don’t do that … it’s been over awhile and decided to go back to see if they got it together .. in fact I don’t even know what part of Africa they are from … this is not it !! This is unacceptable .
The egusi was really good!! Don’t order through door dash though
I am truly disappointed with the extreme scorched taste in their food. I drove a considerable distance because I wanted egusi soup. I was reluctant to try a new restaurant especially considering some of the reviews mentioned bad experience. I swear I didn’t want to write a bad review because the two men in the dining room exceeded my expectations with welcoming me. My disappointment is because some of the reviews mentioned their food has a scorched taste yet, they clearly have NOT rectified the problem. I am a business owner so I listen to sound customer feedback to improve my business. It is utterly mind blowing that they have not put the time into figuring out how to get that scorched taste out of the food. I was starving and tried to add a little season to mend the food but I the scorched taste was so potent that nothing could mend it. I even tried to call the restaurant and politely tell them but never got an answer after three separate attempts. Not to mention, it took forever to get that dreadful scorched taste out of my mouth. Equally concerning is the smell is now in my refrigerator from storing the uneaten food in there overnight. My advice to management, please don’t blame your customer for honest feedback because remember I complimented your staff. I am merely saying you make waaay too much money to not address that scorched taste that other customers reported to you in past reviews. Truly disappointed because I have tried other restaurants egusi soup and NEVER had this problem before.
Best Authentic African food ever!!!! Try it
I wanted to go 6 stars. the food is to die for. real African taste. Not too spicy. I definitely recommend a thousand times. please have the moimoin. The Jollof rice had a subtle smoky taste it was well seasoned comes with plantain and meat. I have eaten there several times and it always taste the same. need to go back just thinking about it.
I ordered from here for the first time today the jollof rice was scorched it tastes burnt. The veggie soup with beef was tasty. I was kind of disappointed because my in-laws purchased food from here & it was good now I'm turned off
I'm a regular here and I think the food over here is terrific! I would definitely recommend to try in as dine in and to avoid a takeaway which turned out to be less enjoyable in my opinion.
