We were hungry and the wait at Phillips was 30 minutes, so we went across the street to IHOP. Noticed that it was cleaner than we remembered: the menus weren't sticky (although the door to the restroom was). Server was pleasant and helpful. Took a long time (20+ minutes) for our order to be delivered, but at least we had cool drinks and a place to sit. Buttermilk pancakes are exactly the same as we remembered them, but came with only corn syrup (which had some maple flavoring) in a sticky pitcher. I remember getting six different kinds of syrup plus jam, but that was a long time ago. Crepes with ligonberry jam were surprisingly good. Turkey sandwich not so much. In all, an inexpensive way to fill up during a hot day of sightseeing.
The food was pretty good. The service was a bit slow but we still enjoyed our meal
There’s like only 3 good employees (the hostess, and 2 servers). The manager clearly has no clue on how to do her job, doesn’t even deserve the job. Waited nearly half an hour for cold food and bad pancakes. They messed up my order and had to wait for them to redo it. At that point we were waiting over an hour for bad food. Ended up getting a refund for my missing food.
This has been my worst IHOP experience in the last 10yrs. The seating furniture out there was torn and in distress. The personnel who was assigned to us was kind of least interested.A simple order was taking way too long. Simple things like the pancake syrups were not available at each table and had to be asked in specific. The sandwich bread was so hard that it was even difficult to bite through. It was impossible to eat through the sandwich with the bread and the filling at once. The waitress did not even ask if we were done with our order and simply got the check and placed it in the table which felt rude. Also we were not informed about the 15% gratuity being applied by default to our order (which explains the disinterest in how the service is). When asked about the gratuity to the personnel on the counter they were simply on a video call with headphones at the main counter. Gave reasons like gratuity is for holidays. It was a Sunday and I asked which holiday are you talking about, she wasn't aware of any holiday name and was asking on the video call if there was any. And then ended up saying it is father's day. Is this a IHOP policy?I will never ever return here.
Went here with my family and was not satisfied. All of the food came out at different times. Some members of my family were done eating by the time others got their food. When the food did arrive it was cold and some things were missing, i.e. ranch missing from the chicken bacon ranch dish. Would not recommend going to this IHOP if you want a hot and completely meal in a timely manner
I will never come again this horrible place though I enjoy inner harbor. Obviously the manager does not monitor or supervise anything here or there is no manager maybe. Jayla, server hurled the plate on the table and forgot my order and food looks so ugly. After meal, I realized why they are doing like this. It is because they charge 15% gratuity automatically. Horrible service.
I would stay away from this place if I was you.Me and my wife walked in and after a few minutes somebody came up to us with no greeting and just said ‘how many’. They brought us to our table. We probably waited a good 10 minutes before the server come over to take our order. The girl didn’t write any of our order down so it came out wrong. It took at least 15 minutes from my wife’s order to come back correct and it took me probably more than a half an hour for me to get my order. This place was not busy at all… there were many open tables. I complain to the manager after we paid for our meal. I told her that was the worst service we have ever had at an IHOP, all she said was our cooks were backed up and offered no apology. The bathrooms were not in good shape as well.I don’t recommend going to this IHOP. You should look for something more locally owned you’ll have a more enjoyable experience.
Can't give anything more than one star for a restaurant that will seat you and serve everyone around you before they even ask you if you would like something to drink. I was even willing to overlook them allowing bums to migrate from table to table asking folks for money. From the looks of it, you could probably drive home, make food, clean up, and be back to the inner harbor before you received your food.More than enough workers there too. Plenty of time to play on their phones! Can't sell that "short staffed" b.s. when there are employees everywhere on their phones
As we walked in here everything seemed fine until they started mixing up ALL of our orders. I wouldn’t blame them if there were a whole lot of people but to be honest there weren’t a lot on the first place.1.) They forgot one of our orders2.) They mixed up 3 of our orders3.) They mistakenly gave us 2 plates of pancakes4.) TERRIBLE SERVICE; when we informed them about the mix up and mistaken order, the waiter completely ignored us and didn’t even turn around to acknowledge us.Hope you guys consider this. Thank you
We decided to dine at I-Hop today after a trip to the Aquarium and I could not have been more disappointed. First, we were told it would take 10 minutes to get a table and it took 25. Then, once seated with 4 children it took us an hour to get our pancakes and eggs (nothing more complicated than that). The waitress was inattentive and it was 45 minutes into our visit to get drinks. Then, even when we got our food, most of the orders were incomplete or wrong. I would strongly recommend others avoid this establishment….particularly if they have children.
