Himalayan House is a good place . It is a small place with 15 or so tables. Seems like a family run restaurant.

I eat Indian food A LOT!!! In My experience, I’ve found that the establishments that look the oldest or the longest standing just have the BEST Indian food. I can not praise this food enough. Every dish that I’ve ever tried here is just perfect. I’ve been to every Indian restaurant with in a 30 mile radius of where I live, this one is in the top 3!!!!

Food was ok but the funny thing is that their Thali does not contain pickle and you have to buy it separately.

Loved the overall experience. Food and service were good. Authentic taste. Recommend visiting.

The food from the Himalayan House is excellent! The sauces for the different dishes gives the food its authentic taste to match the identity of the Nepalese/ Indian culture. Although do through covid you can't sit and eat, ordering out is always available. Menu prices have change so old menu prices are still listed. However customer service is ok since English is not their first language. They will try to help you as best as they can when asking about the different dishes you wouldn't be disappointed. I got couple dishes all was great. The lamb tikka masala, butter chicken, chicken korma. All dishes come to your level of heat so be clear if you don't like spicy food I also tried the naan bread and fried hard Samosa. Hand made. Great choice of looking for a place to eat. $$

This is by far my favorite Nepali/Indian restaurant in Baltimore. As someone who is half Nepali and half Indian, I have had quite a bit of both cuisines in my lifetime. I want to eat here every week, it's that good. I still remember the first time I ate from here, I ordered takeout. The dal makhani reminded me of my moms urad dal. The spices are on point. The small details like the addition of raisins in the Malai Kofta sauce, or the sauteed onion on the rice really show the talent of the chefs here. They even have gundruk on the menu which is a Nepali specialty that I have never seen in a restaurant. Very authentic! If you're looking for a fancier sit down restaurant, you're not going to get that atmosphere here. If you're looking for something very casual or picking up (even you live a ways away) it is so worth the trip.

Perhaps they didn't think I would like spice, but they certainly do it well.A fun place to take food over to Latrobe. This restaurant balances out the area with their Nepalese dishes. While there, it's nice to hit up Ice Queen after!

This was such a treat! We ordered the Himalayan Feast and goodness, the amount of food was enormous! Everything tasted so good and service was outstanding. We ordered online and picked up. My favorite was the vegetable pakora. The naan bread was so good with everything or eaten alone. It wasn't spicy at all but had the right amount of spice. Definitely meant for more than two people :) Absolutely a wonderful dinner!

I've had a lot of Indian food around the area and I think this place is the best bang for your buck by far. Butter chicken was amazing, the portion was massive, they didn't short on the amount of chicken, and it had a decent level of spice. I don't think I'd sit down there and have a meal but I prefer eating at home anyway.

I so much want to give a decent rating to this place but my conscience doesn't allow me to do so. I can explain the reason behind it as clearly as i can.I have been ordering food from this place for about 5 years. Samosa and Veg momos are my favourites but i have tried many other items in the menu- some are good, some are not so good. One of my biggest concern with this place is attitude and behavior of the staff of this restaurant.I used to order via doordash/grubhub initially, then once i started ordering frequently from this place, the owner was thoughtful (at this point it seemed so) and told me that i can call or text them directly and they will deliver the food. This arrangement worked well for a few times but last 2-3 orders have been messed up by the restaurant some way or other. And when i let them know about the issue, they royally ignore it and dont even care to respond or apologize for the mess-up (once i received heavily undercooked meat and on other occasion, i received less quantity of order than what i had originally ordered). I still have the text messages of me reporting the concerns/issues to the restaurant but no one acknowledging it from their end. I dont expect this kind of attitude. If i were ordering via a delivery app, they would have taken care of these kind of unfortunate mess ups, but by ordering directly from the restaurant, i have suffered losses on multiple occasions. As a result of which, i have stopped ordering from this place and will not order from here in future. Even if i change my mind and decide to order from here in future, it would be via one of the delivery apps so that issues (if any) with the order can be looked into and resolved accordingly.
