When it comes to the airport world of food they’re doing it pretty well here. It’s not cheap but certainly better than most options at an airport.
I used to travel in and out of BWI for years and got to know this establishment and owner well. I know you might not equate airport sushi with quality but this place is the real deal and then some. Fresh ingredients of top quality. I changed employers in 2017 so I have not been back in years. With that said, I am traveling through BWI with my daughter at the end of this month and have added time to make sure we can dine here. It’s that good!
Quite easily one of the best places I’ve eaten at in an airport, easily. The service was top notch and the ramen was even better. I’ve been to too many airports and the food typically does not justify the price but this is totally different. The portion was good and the price isn’t out of the ordinary for ramen which is shocking since everything at the airport costs an arm and a leg. Unfortunately I didn’t have any of the sushi but they looked delicious, maybe next time. If you like ramen, don’t bother going anywhere else in the airport and go straight to this place, thank me later
Airport sushi? Its probably way better than your local joint. This is the real deal with great presentation, fresh food and awesome service. They have plenty of drink options as well. Comfy place to hang out and charge your phone.
Definitely the best sushi you can get at any airport and better than most non airport sushi restaurants. Budi that works at Baltimore is great with the customers and goes the extra mile. Highly recommend.
Food and service were top-notch. We each had a Poke bowl—one salmon and one tuna. The bowls were large, the salad (lettuce, peas, carrots) were fresh, the fish was delicious and plentiful, and the rice was just right. The manager and cashier-waitress were ver friendly and helpful. This was a perfect preflight meal — filling but not heavy.
Stopped on at airport location. Yuck. My grocery store has better sushi, much better. The chicken rice bowl had rice apparently made last week. And a few strips of dry chicken. Even the miso soup was dull. How do you screw up miso soup?
Wish I had anything positive to say about this place…an airport restaurant with four young employees and no other customer. I sit down at the bar (3:30 on Sunday 4/10). They all ignore me for a good two minutes. I ask if I’m supposed to order at the register? “No, Just sit down and I will be with you in a minute”. Then nothing again. I left. No surprise it’s the only restaurant in the whole airport that doesn’t have a single customer. I’m at this airport a lot. Maybe I’d try again if a grown-up was working.
The sushi was good, I mean sushi isn’t too difficult to make. I got seafood udon and it was not pleasant. I could taste that they mainly just put some type of chicken stock, with way too much mirin and some sirarcha to make it “spicy”. Noodles were fine the broth was just awful and as far as seafood udon I got 2 shrimp. Two. That were cut in half at that. A couple ofWood eat mushrooms and some carrots chopped up. Sushi and udon cost a total of around $35. The ramen looked good but I always prefer udon to ramen, I finished it because I paid for it. When I finally got home around 9 I had some udon from Bonchon. Thank god, it tastes so darn good.
Great vegan options! Miso soup, tofu dish and avocado/cucumber rolls. ?
