There is no other place like it! I never thought there would be somewhere I could go for a proper formal tea with all the amenities, that is close to where I live, but this is it! Tasty food added to delectable tea flavors, in a delightful atmosphere, are only enhanced by the attentive, cheerful customer service. I highly recommend.

We had such a great time at Emma’s! The staff was great so helpful and kind to people who have never been to a tea shop before. The tea was hot and the pot was even wrapped in a cozy!!! The food was super tasty too! The sandwiches and sweets were fresh and the portions were just right for a afternoon snack or light lunch. I would definitely dine here again!

I've been to Emma's a few times, and I think it gets even better each time. My mom and I like to go to high tea for birthdays and other special occasions, and have been to most of the tea rooms in the area, and Emma's is our absolute favorite. We love that you get to choose what sandwich you get with high tea, instead of a mix of them - it really helps to reduce waste by letting us choose something we know we'll like! All the food is delicious, and the tea is incredible and high quality. I love the decor and the entire vibe of the shop. Everything is adorable, the staff is kind and helpful, and Emma herself is always bustling around the shop. I can't give a higher recommendation - if you enjoy tea, you need to stop by!

My peach blossom white tea was amazing, and the high tea snacks were perfect. Best scones ever, and the crust on the pastries was so buttery, loved the experience and will definitely go back

The most relaxing tea room I’ve ever been to, and the most relaxing and restoring time I’ve had in years in general! My sister took me here and I’m so glad she did! I loved it. Friendly service. The little snacks they brought out were delicious. The scones and tea were awesome. The peach blossom white tea was fantastic. I liked it even more than the peony white tea. And the little desserts didn’t make me feel like I was going to get diabetes and die, unlike a lot of American style desserts. The china was adorable and beautiful. The knitted cozies on the teapots looked so well done—like a pro made them. Man, the British know how to live! I think I’ll start having tea time every day from now on.

Absolutely the best time ever! The experience begins as soon as you walk in the door. Cute, quaint, welcoming, and just so much fun. All the tea cups, pots and tea coozies makes for fun conversation at the table. We had reservations but they also accommodate walk-in. The food is delicious and very seasonal. The chef and servers are hard working and very friendly. Will definitely be back again! Thank you for a great birthday celebration!

Beautiful location, friendly staff, amazing food BUT takes too long. Everything about this place is amazing AS LONG as you have four hours to kill.

Great atmosphere and high tea

I discovered Emma’s Tea Spot through Groupon and what a great find that was! I went to have high tea with my husband and enjoyed it thoroughly. The place is decent size with a pretty cute interior. There is a small (like 4 spot) parking lot right in the back and otherwise there’s street parking. They had a wide variety of teas and the sandwiches and pastries were quite good. Definitely need to make reservations in advance if you plan on going on the weekend.

Emma (as well as her bustling, cheerful staff) made me fee entirely welcome, even before I mentioned it was my birthday. When she brought out my high tea tiered platter full of goodies, she included a festive cracker, a little gift bag of tea and honey, and even sang me a verse of Happy Birthday! I had a 2-hour reservation and made the most of it by staying the full time, did some shopping and got a cool tea pot with infuser. Emma also patiently instructed me on the loose-leaf tea I wanted to buy - how to steep them, what temp to use, when to use or not milk, etc. A few other customers had lined up behind me during this demonstration and she didn't shunt me off to the side or make me feel like I was wasting her time. She covered all the details smoothly and efficiently - clearly knows her stuff - and packed up my purchases. She also thanked the other customers for their patience so THEY felt OK about the flow at that moment. She took care of all of us and did it cheerfully. I've worked in food service and people can be terrible and it's easy to get flustered when folks are standing there staring at you, so I really appreciated Emma's calm/carry on attitude. By the way, my high tea was a real treat - English Breakfast with milk and sugar, a still-warm sweet scone with clotted cream and strawberry jam, nice little finger sandwiches, and some tiny cake-y items (plus a fresh strawberry cut in artful slices). Worth the trip, worth the price, and I will definitely be back. The place also filled up completely while I was there from 11:00-1:00 on a weekday, so clearly the locals agree. Thanks for a lovely birthday treat, Emma!
