Curry fried chicken always slaps. Broccoli good when fresh, gets soggy and a bit mushy fast so eat them while they're fresh! Pickled veggies are great to balance out all the grease. Definitely not a low calorie meal, and would be sharing the sides next time due to large portion, but so good when you commit to it!
First time here, inadvertently ordered the original sandwich thinking it was the chicken breast sandwich ??♀️. However I enjoyed it nonetheless. It is spicy. My American palette could barely handle it. It was flavorful but I wouldn’t order it again due to the spice level. The crispy shrimp snack was also good. The shrimp were surprisingly bigger than expected. Something in the shrimp box was extremely salty and I’m not sure if it was the crispy fried onions or the aromatics. I’m leaning towards the onions. If I get it next time, I’ll be sure to ask for all of the fixings on the side to add as I see fit.I will definitely be back to try the chicken bun that I thought I had ordered .
Delicious Thai buns! Really enjoyed the curry fried chicken on a fresh steam bun. Tiny place but pretty busy and quick service.
Had the neighborhood bird bun. It was delicious. The bun was soft and the chicken was hot and fresh. Really enjoyed the sauce that was on the chicken. Also had one of their specialty drinks it had a citrus taste with a floral finish. Only thing was that it was a little difficult to place my order because the music was playing too loud. I had to shout just to make sure everything was put in correct. However, I will definitely be back again.
Happy to end my date with eating this delicious meal. The portion size of the Neighborhood Bowl is great. So much so that we couldn't finish. Definitely come to this location for good music playing inside while you wait. They had one guy checking in with everyone to make sure they knew the status of their order. Can't wait to return!
SOOOO GOOOD! The flavors are soooo refreshing and unique - nothing like what I've tasted before. I loved their fried broccoli (very refreshing taste with cilantro and mild vinegar seasoning). Their neighborhood bird and original were REALLY GOOD as well. I traveled all the way from College Park to try this and it was worth it!! Also, the staff is REALLY KIND, CONSIDERATE, and ENERGETIC ? Definitely will come back!
Best fried chicken I ever had.Pros1. King of Flavor: my top 3 most favorite foods, it's zesty, pickled perfect, and has asian spice. My god, everytime I think about it my mouth is watering, and it's been a few months since I last eaten2. Decor: manga, dragon ball, cooking in front of me, it has a street food vibe to it.Cons:1. Wait time: Waited one hour on average, it's so popular it's hard to keep up. I don't blame them, it's worth the wait but sometimes its unbearable when it's too crowded.Overall: I want to come back but I live far away in Maryland. Wish I could come back.
You know it's good when you finish eating and are already planning to come back! Tasty, quick, and friendly. Wish their seating was a little more robust and the music was too loud but the food was so good. Had the Neighborhood Bird (Spicy) and Tofu Nuggets. Both were fantastic.
The Neighborhood Bird rice bowl was out of this world! Flavor and spice level were perfectly balanced. The chicken was perfect and the pickled veggies paired so well. The bun was the best I've ever had too- full of tender meat and fresh veggies and the bun itself was huge and pillowy. Large portion sizes for both items (this was honestly too much for me and my husband for lunch, but we ate it all because it would have been a shame to put such amazing food in the refrigerator for leftovers). And the people inside were super friendly too! Only good things to say about this spot. It was top notch!
I tried a couple of their rice boxes on different occasions— the Catfish Tackle box, Shrimp Tackle box, and the Tofu Brah are all so great but the chicken one (Neighborhood Bird) gave me a stomachache (although it also tasted great and wasn’t raw like others mentioned). Also noticed their prices went up $3 for each entree since I last visited a month or two ago…
