We have been regular Ejji customers for years and have tried very hard to support them through the pandemic with delivery orders and in-person dining. DH is an omnivore; I am pescatarian and cannot have pork in any form as it does unspeakable things to my insides. I went to Ejji on my own for lunch today and was told they did not have the ONLY seafood ramen item on their menu as it's "too hard to make it." They had shrimp tempura, so... curry broth is too hard to make... really? I was really hungry, so I ordered the veg ramen minus the butter and added shrimp tempura and two veg at up-charges, meaning that I was now paying $20 for a bowl of noodle soup. Noodle soup that didn't even have the broth I wanted. Actually, it had really, really bad broth. The dish tasted so bad (imagine a $20 bowl of salt water with some veg and noodles floating in it) that I ate the shrimp and a couple of bites of veg, then set the rest back on the counter. The staff asked what was wrong and I said "I can't eat this; it tastes really bad." No offer of a refund or even a discount despite the fact that at least one person on the staff recognized me and we always tip well. Okay, so we'll only eat ramen in NYC from now because restaurants there have PAGES of seafood options as well as non-insipid veg ones.

About 3 or 4 years ago I used to live in the area and ate here a few times and just loved it so naturally now that I am in town I stopped in for dinner. Sorry to say that I was sorely disappointed. The laksa broth was quite bland - not at all spicy. The Singaporean soft shell crab was OK but the noodles were also not so good. This place is just not as good as it once was.

Delicious ramen, best I've had and very authentic. Little pricey but worth every penny. Friendly staff as well.

When it comes to Ramen I am very strict with my reviews. The broth texture, taste, atmosphere in the restaurant, if the noodles are fresh or not and with that said I can say it is not the best Ramen I had but it is definitely have the exact amount of Umami in a bowl and the environment in the restaurant is really nice. Will definitely go again if in the area and need it for my Ramen craving.

Seafood ramen soup devine. Held onto for almost 2 days. Absolutely delicious. It would have been a v n tastier had I eaten same day I bought. No complaints. I’ll revisit soon. Hard to social distance in Belvedere Market. Most everyone we saw wore masks.

Good ramen

My favorite place for Ramen! Always flavorful with great interchangeable options. Staff is always friendly working in an open kitchen where everything can be seen being made fresh.

Had the Pork Ramen and Singapore soft shell crab mazemane. Good rich taste and broth for the ramen. Noodles were well textured and sticky. Good overall.

We eat here at least once a month and these last two times weren't the best. Both my husband and I noticed something seemed off. My miso broth was so salty and the kimchi was funky. His pork was off as well. Hoping these were flukes, because we normally love the food here.

If you have an issue with bad customer service. I would avoid this place. I came here at 430pm on Sat 8/7/21. The chick at the cashier was horrible she spoke low in a market place so I couldn't hear her. Yet she had an attitude as if I was wasting her time. She rolled her eyes throughout my order because I asked for extra pork. When waiting for my meal she spoke my name super low so I couldn't hear her. I knew that was the type of time she was on so I watched her carefully so that I wouldn't be waiting the whole time for her to say my ramen was ready. She raised her voice when I asked where to put my bowl after I was done. The cooks were cool but she was horrible. I don't usually write reviews, but I hope she reads this and is held accountable for her actions. If you have a bad day stay home. Stop contributing to that horrible black girl stereotype.
