Wow!! This place is *FANTASTIC* and *authentic*, but the menu is also very friendly to people who may not be familiar with Caribbean food (it leans Jamaican like but samples from Caribbean more broadly too). Also, *vegetarian and vegan friendly*! Just let them know and they can make sure it's ready for you.The owner (Denzel) talked us through the menu and was so kind and passionate. The staff was wonderful too, really sweet and helpful. Our table got the veggie spring rolls, plantains (perfect), curry shrimp, and a vegetarian version of the coconut pot. Plus, they have Sorrel Crushes (whaaaat! ?), Rum punch, and other goodies. Cannot say enough great things about this place. ??TLDR: amazing food and people, go here! Fells needed a place like this.
Great place. Amazing wings, nice beer tap selection, easy going and great menu. Location is convenient as well. Indoor and outdoor space. Directly across from Pendry where I stayed. Honestly some of the best wings I have ever eaten. Love the additional hot sauces available too. This type is my favorite.Update: came back today for brunch. Devoured shrimp and grits. The steak frites look amazing and I’ll have the next time I visit here.Thank you!!
My friends and i went for brunch this weekend and everything was amazing. The food was great and the owner was very personable. Had a great time!
Good was so good! Had the bananas fosters french toast and the French toast was made with bread pudding. Delicious and large serving. Also really liked the mimosa flight.
THIS PLACE has delicious authentic carribean food with an upscale flair. It's a whole vibe! Good service, great food...the staff makes you feel like family. Welcome home.
Horrible experience. The chef was rude, didn't introduce himself or ask what the problem was with my meal. Just told me I had to pay FULL price for a meal i didn't even enjoy. I had the oxtail and it tasted off to me. The chef argued with me about how he had served it multiple times that day and they enjoyed it. I don't know what that has to do with me and my meal. I said I didn't like it and always willing to pay half price. He said no and told me I had to pay full price and if I didn't enjoy my meal not to come back. I didn't like anything about this place. Decorations still have $8 price tags on them. The server was sweet but not enough to make me ever come back. This place is cheap and not good at all.
I was really excited to try this place but unfortunately we didn’t have a great experience. We didn’t like one of the dishes we ordered and instead of having it removed or discounted, the chef argued with us. There’s more than one way to cook something so if someone doesn’t like it, they don’t like it. Flavor is subjective. Needless to say, we won’t be coming back.
Excited to check out this restaurant because we were excited about having a Jamaican infused brunch. The service was fast. Our waitress was attentive, nice and informative. We started out with the collard green spring rolls. It was good but tasted like a regular spring roll; I didn’t appreciate the collard greens flavor. But again, it was tasty. I ordered the Jamaican breakfast which is composed of ackee and salt fish, calaloo, bammie, a fried dumpling and plantain. The meal was good. My friend had the jerk chicken and waffles. She enjoyed the jerk chicken. The waffle was surprisingly more savory than sweet and only flavorful when combined with the chicken. She enjoyed it but would have preferred a sweet tasting waffle to balance the jerk chicken. The ambiance was a bit odd. Being a Jamaican restaurant, there really was no decor to create a caribbean vibe. Overall we enjoyed the meal and the service. It was well priced. Would prefer more of a Caribbean ambiance. Would recommend trying it out but not sure if we’d return.
I got the red velvet waffles and jerk … waffles was giving a grassy taste … turns out , they use beet juice .. gross … they should’ve mentioned that on the menu before I ordered it …also I was expecting a Caribbean vibe when I walked in .. complete opposite.. it was giving southern . Which was strange … pretty much best thing about my experience was the mimosa’s …
This place was honestly nothing to write home about. The food was just okay. I got the oxtail stew and it was more so sweet than savory. I personally prefer my oxtail to be savory. My husband didn’t enjoy his chicken & red velvet waffles meal at all. The atmosphere also wasn’t what I expected. I thought it was a Caribbean restaurant however there was no caribbean music or decor.
