Buona serata, fratelli! ??Presenting the finest of Little Italy (Baltimore) has to offer for your continental cuisines. From the long halled entry, this unassuming ‘cucina italiana’ seems closer to Vecchia Toscana than to Mme. Pelosi’s origins. In all the accounted expectations, we could not have predicted a better evening! The initials of pleasantries and greetings, warmly offered in simplistic dialogue, continued over some warmly buttered garlic bread, not at all over toasted nor over salted. Truly divine to the discerning palate! We continued with red snapper & “scampi” (shrimp) which were finely appointed, even without the added penne marinara and broccoli. The Fruitti di Mara (for Ma Donna) was very much to her liking, something almost exceptional, and similar to fare during our Vacanza Roma in early 2000s.Our servers, indeed from beginning to end, were always on hand, quite unsuspectingly even, to make sure our evening meal came together as done accordingly in steps set from the old country. We could NOT have asked for a better repast to end our busy day, still true so near the beauty of the Inner Harbor. The classic house-chosen red wine, for some partakers, settled a bit the ineffable and tiring mood, also. Our only misgiving was the misfortune not to arrive early enough, whence our host had need to return to Glen Burnie quickly. After the delightful time lengthened beyond the planned separations, in my undue haste, I unfortunately failed to recall my earlier desire while driving on the Parkway to ask for some cannoli to go. Oh well. Thus a return to Dalesio’s shall be imminently ordained!?•Ciao, Bella! ❤️•Civetiamo dopo, Paysanos! ?✝️?
10/10 experience hands down. Whether you’re a visitor (from NJ like me) or a Baltimore native, you will not be let down. Food was amazing! Our server, David was so attentive and personable! Service was quick and the atmosphere felt authentic. Definitely will be coming back.
Update: went back last night… tried different salad which was fresh and delicious. We each tried different entrees than before, both very good. Once again Alex provided attentive and professional service! A table of 10 were celebrating near us, but because of the great acoustics we were able to converse with no problem. ❤️Dalesio’sOur new “go to”. Our family of 4 went for Father’s Day celebration. We had reservations and were seated promptly. The service was excellent from start to finish. Our water glasses were always full and we never wanted for anything thanks to Alex. Everyone enjoyed the garlic bread. My daughter and I shared the tomato & fresh mozzarella salad which sounds simple, but was absolutely delicious with fresh basil, really good olive oil and perfectly seasoned. Four different entrees and 3 desserts all very good. The acoustics are great thanks to carpet and lowered ceilings so conversation was unimpeded. As a senior, I find many restaurants are very noisy and that is off putting to our family so the quiet factor was appreciated. We will definitely return. My husband and I eat out 2-3 times per week and very happy to have discovered Dalesio’s.
It says no children under 5. My daughter called months before to make a reservation. Called before she came to explain she had a 5 yr old with her. They agreed it would be fine. They get there and David their waiter was extremely rude didn’t even offer a drink just water to her son who by the way had extremely good behavior there. Better than some customers. Told them to take a single salad which was dinner size only brought a plate no silverware He was rushing them out the door brought a box with her sons penne took the debit card and left it in the machine they had to go get it. They were all rude from the minute they walked into the place and had two opportunities to tell them not to come at all Don’t put a sign telling people they accept children over 5 if your not going to treat them or the people with them with respect. We as a family will never go back and we encourage everyone not to go as well. They don’t respect people
Without a doubt our favorite place to eat in Baltimore! A warm and welcoming atmosphere with a great staff that makes you feel like family. Very approachable fine dining that is a great place for a date night, elevated family meal, or special event. My wife and I celebrated our engagement there and couldn't have been happier with the choice! There are too many great dishes on the menu to mention them all but we especially love the gnocchi and all of the veal dishes (especially the bolognese and the piccata). However, when available, the real star of the menu is the crab cake special which is one of the best we've ever had in Maryland. Desserts are also excellent - our favorite is the tiramisu but have heard the pistachio cake is also amazing.
Amazing place. Went one day and tried their spaghetti and meatballs. Was so good I had to try their lasagna the next day. Very, very good and very nice portions. Waiter and manager/owner(?) provided amazing service. 100% recommended. Definitely will visit again next time I visit Baltimore. Please visit as good service/food quality combination is difficult to find.
We hosted a graduation dinner here and it could not have been a better experience. The food was great, the service was superb, and the atmosphere was awesome. Highly recommend Dalesio’s for everything from a romantic dinner for two to a large party. Many thanks to Paul and the entire staff!
Made reservations for Mothers day2022 and flew into Baltimore from Houston. Wonderful atmosphere and really great food. Walking distance from the Pier and great service!! My wife loved it!
My family came here for my brother’s rehearsal dinner and had a wonderful time. The server graciously and quickly managed our party of 15, even when it grew to 18. The food was delicious and they were even able to accommodate a couple special requests not on the menu. Highly recommend for the food, service and atmosphere!
This is a precious treasure in Little Italy. Food is spectacular and service was superb. You will be so glad you went.
