I ordered two large oxtails yesterday and when I opened the box I knew that something was wrong it wasn’t a dark color how it usually is . Honestly for 45$ it was the nastiest oxtail I’ve ever had.
Excellent meal and generous portions. Great presentations. Staff were kind and attentive.
The food was good and freshly made. I got a Medium Curry Chicken dinner and a Large Jerk Chicken dinner. The portion sizes were more than enough and the rice and chicken were moist. The cabbage wasn't over cooked and we thoroughly enjoyed our food. The only thing I didn't like was I called my order in and was told 30 minutes only to get there and they either forgot to fill my order or had gotten that busy but I had to wait an additional 15-20 minutes for my food.
The Only reason I give this place 3 stars is because of their $1 fried chicken drum. It was very good. However, I came here thinking the “authentic” flavors would be just what I was looking for. Sadly the food was bland and flavorless. I had to add salt and hot sauce just to not waste the food. I don’t recommend this place.
I had the curry goat meal (with 2 sides). Was trying to stay away from carbs, so I ordered plantains and cabbage. They gave me a ton of cabbage. You definitely get a good amount of food. Being that it was a side, I was expecting to get more plaintain. The cabbage and goat were a little on the spicy side and it was kind of watery/saucy. My friend loved her collards and curry goat.
I placed an order and when it arrived part of my order was missing. However, the entrees that did come were tasty. The Oxtails and Stewed Chicken were sweet im not sure why. I was expecting a little spice, atleast with the oxtail, but it was missing something. I grew up on both dishes; I didn't taste the carribean.
The food was excellent not to spicy. It was crowed which let's me know how good it was before even got it. Well worth the wait
