The best experience comes from a combination of great food, great drinks and a friendly, welcoming server who, in this case is Nolvia. Our dinner was perfect and Nolvia made sure we were well taken care of. This is our best dinner in a long time.
excellent food and service
We recently hosted a rehearsal dinner at Cighiale and had a wonderful experience. We had thirty guests in the Tommaso room. Our five course menu included a selection of appetizers during the cocktail hour, a choice of three entrees, two desserts and four fine wines. All the food was delicious and the wine was excellent . I highly recommend Cinghiale .
A party of 8 had dinner on a recent Saturday night. Most of us ordered from the prix fixe menu which is probably under priced! Four courses and each course is plentiful. My personal opinion was my veal chop was too salty but it was a hit with the others. One couple paired the wine course with the prix fixe and they loved their wine selection. Celery root soup was excellent. The risotto with rock shrimp was excellent. I didn't care for the hazelnut cheese cake I ordered for dessert. I dIdn't care for the soft consistency, seemed whipped and the chocolate overpowered the hazelnut. The gelato was enjoyed by those who ordered it. Service is very good. However, the server continued to forget my sister's beer. She had to ask for it twice and then when it arrived, the server did not pour it.
Belated New Year's Eve dinner review. The NY strip, mushroom tagliatelle, and banana Panna Cotta were my favorites of the evening. Really beautiful and romantic ambiance. Was not aware the surge in price for NYE as it was not on the website.
In the fall of 2017 we came here to celebrate the boss’s birthday. The food and the service were mediocre. What you are dropping $100 per head on dinner you expect something a little more than mediocre. I received a very nice email from Tony Foreman the proprietor asking specifically about my complaints. I responded ends and the following emails he copied his minion, Will Napier. In Mr. Forman‘s email, he promised that the next time we plan to dine there I should let him know in advance and he would make our experience a lot better. He also seemed to suggest a bottle of wine on the house with the help of the wine steward. Now you have to understand that we live on “ that small little island in the Pacific” and don’t get to Baltimore very often. We were planning on returning just six months ago, again for the boss’s birthday. I emailed him in advance along with a copy of our previous emails. In the next emails I was passed down to a woman in the office who asked when my reservation was for. I told her and also asked if one of my favorite managers, who I knew well, still work there. No response from either the woman in the office, Will Napier, or Mr. Foreman. The evening of the reservation came, and we were seated at our table with little or no recognition of anything. Just two people walking in off the street and asking to be seated for dinner. Although the service was a little better this time, and less confused, my review of the food remains the same, just mediocre. No special help or offer from the wine steward, and basically no recognition of any previous emails or promises. Would I return? I don’t think so.
Stopped in for a few drinks and snack, gnocchi and arugula salad were excellent along with the service. A nice spot to sit and the bar for a nice afternoon.
Had previously eaten lunch there. Was Ok. Last night was not OK. The taglatelle in with squid ink and mushrooms was very bland --- no flavor at all. The prize however went to the Vitello tonnato. The veal was prepared nicely and was good. There was not any tuna, at least none that I could detect. The veal was served with a salad mix on top. Very disappointed. If the chef can't go to Italy to see how it's done, look on the internet.
Outstanding. As always. Brought the team for dinner again, this time late December as our End of Year celebration. Food was excellent, service was impeccable as always. Wine quality and choice exceptional. Thank you, Tony, for greeting us and selecting those extra-special bottles! Every member of our party had a wonderful experience. Quality. Cindy and Tony have an amazing team across all their restaurants, and you can clearly feel that they truly love what they do, and they genuinely want their guests to enjoy a remarkable experience. Since my first Cinghiale visit 10 years ago its been my #1 choice when I'm in Baltimore
Truly fabulous. A wonderful new year's dinner. Restaurant was beautiful, tables were spaced nicely and there was such a great vibe overall.Food was outstanding. Prezzo fisso is the way to go, it allows you to just be immersed in the dining experience. Wine pairings were all excellent and service was perfect!
